I like moving out Peterson. He was expensive for what he produced.

Gordon never really wanted to be here, although I got the feeling he was just starting to feel settled in. I am sure he will be happy going back to Cali though.

Johnson is the interesting name here. I think he's going to have impact. I do like this particular incoming player.

I am "meh" on Dunfield. With Tchani being underwhelming and JDG on his way out, I guess we will need his DM capabilities, but I am more interested in where this puts Frings. Are we going to play 2 in front of our backline in case we can't shore it up enough?

I predict they'll do Hatchi, plus someone maybe much better for Frei and that Kocic will become our starting keeper. Dire scenario and hope that I'm wrong and we can find another way to shore up the back.

It's a large number of players, sure, but I wouldn't really call it gutting the lineup yet. Gordon and Nana scarcely played, and Peterson was crap.

Short Molinaro story on Nana's move:

The Nana Attakora-Toronto FC saga has come to an end.
The Major League Soccer club has traded Attakora to the San Jose Earthquakes, the Canadian defender confirmed to CBCSports.ca on Thursday.
Attakora did not know the details of the deal, specifically who TFC will receive from San Jose in return for him.
A 22-year-old native of North York, Ont., the defender has been with the club since it entered MLS in 2007. He said he found out about the trade via text message by Sam Cronin, a former TFC teammate who now plays for San Jose.
Aron Winter, TFC’s head coach and technical director, then called Attakora minutes later to deliver the news.
"It’s exciting but it’s sad at the same time. I’ve spent my whole career here and it is my home city, so it’s disappointing, but I’m also happy for the change and the new challenge," Attakora said.

Dunfield seems to be overrated on this board. I think he's slow, and his distribution is terrible. Kevin Harmse was also a warrior and a red card waiting to happen.

I agree with this. The players we dealt away would be spare parts on most teams. Except for Nana, it's unfortunate that his trade away was not because he wasn't useful, it's because they couldn't come to a contract agreement. That's business I guess. Still sucks.

I think it means JDG's departure may be imminent

Don't know much about Dunfield, but several people here seem to be happy about him coming to TFC. Why are you "meh" on him?

Keep dreading it. The more you dread it, the more likely it is to happen. This team is cursed, and when Frei gets shipped for a middle-of-the-pack MLS defender, it'll prove my point.

No need to move Frei at this point with the current logjam in the midfield.

    Frings
    JDG
    Dunfield
    Sturgis
    Tchani
    Yourassowsky
    Zavarise

    Something has to give...

I don't like losing Nana at all. I think he's going to be a great player.

So apparently we got Dunfield for Allocation and future considerations.

I wonder who we got for Nana?

He is inconsistent. Plays with fire, which we do need, but skill level is not very high. With the "system" we are supposed to be putting into place, I don't see how he won't struggle just as much as other players have.

And JDG I think is gone in the off-season.

    Sweet Jesus.

So how many center backs do we have healthy? 4? And Harden is one of them?
