Very disappointing news, I still believe Nana has a huge upside. We best be getting something good out of this...

Then again, Molinaro keeps calling Kevin Hatchi (who he insists is coming to Toronto tomorrow) "Kevin Hitachi," so who the fuck knows.

Good riddance to Jake Peterson, will dearly miss Gordon, but he was becoming a bit of a tampon -- in for three days, out for four weeks.

WTF? I wouldn't deal Alan Gordon and Nana for Ryan Johnston. That's crazy. Never mind throwing in a bag of hammers (Jacob Peterson)

Johnson made $125 last season, so basically replacing Peterson's money with his.

Gordon and Nana will free up 150K

    Peterson is gone!

Gordon played well when he was healthy, but we just had too many target strikers. So I am not mad he got traded.

Nana is a big loss who still has the potential to be very good defender in MLS.

Money (Allocation money I assume?) and International spot means maybe TFC has someone lined up to sign.

Ryan Johnson: I don't know too much about him. Time for me to do some research on him.

Nana has upside but obviously something was up this year besides just injury, I think the has only been in 5 or 6 matches.

Johnson is a pretty decent pickup.

Smells like it could be Hatchi, who's French. That would up the defender count and eat the international slot.

Very true, Gordon and Peterson where not short term nor long term solutions for the club but Nana leaves me dissapointed he still has alot of time to be a very good MLS Defender

This trade is probably more about the money and the international spot.

    Management hated Nana anyways.

Gordon was surplus with Koevermans arrival. Plus he is made of glass.

The real interesting thing to see is if they can find a CB.

Also, was Nana close to returning?

agreed but there were those rumors that he didnt want to resign coupled with poor attitude in training, either way it looked like he was on his way out

If Alan Gordon is healthy I agree.

Dealing injured Gordon, injured/jaded Nana, injured Peterson (none played more than 2 games lately) for one healthy player is more productive for the remainder of the season. If we get money and one more International spot, and if we fill that with another signing of Ecks quality player, I'll be thrilled.

    I can dream...
