Default Former TFC players do well.

You can add Nick LaBrocca's name to the long list of former TFC players that go on and do well on other teams after leaving TFC. Nick LaBrocca so far this season with Chivas USA has played in 19 games and has scored 6 goals so far playing in the midfield. It is so funny how so many former TFC players go on and do well with other MLS teams.

Have you taken all possibilities into account because i'm sure some have stayed stagnant or regressed.

Well, when you look at the odds, it's not that surprising.

We've gone through what...100+ players on the roster in total (not all have seen the pitch)...

Throw enough shit at a wall and some of it will stick.

LaBrocca succeeded. Good for him. Meanwhile Usanov, Garcia, Gala, Ibrahim, Saric, Gomez, Sanyang and Mista are all pumping gas or in Saric's case shoplifting.

I liked him and was upset we got rid of him. He made the second starting 11 MLS team, pretty decent acheivement for him.

I'm not upset we got rid of him because Alan Gordon has been very good (when not injured).

What is your point? What's actually funnier is the amount of players who leave and never kick a football again. There's a lot more of them.

It's good for Nick and TFC that he moved on. He didn't fit.

Somebody brought up a good point on the V's board.

Of the foreign players TFC has introduced to MLS, how many have actually stuck to the league after leaving TFC? Andrew Boyens is the only one I can think of. Just goes to show you how bad our scouting has been over the years.

I think if we were actually to compile a list of this the numbers might be rather shocking.

Mo "scouting" (besides his Christmas "scouting" trips to Brazil) was just to phone up player agent Barry MacLean. It's not shocking at all that they didn't work out.

Ok, I took my own bait. List is limited to players coming from outside of North America. Includes domestics returning to North America from other places. Excludes players who previously played in MLS at any point to our signing them.

    TFC and Done:
    - Rohan Ricketts
    - Laurent Robert
    - Andy Welsh
    - Jarrod Smith
    - Kenny Stamatopoulos
    - Miguel Canzalez
    - Marco Reda
    - Tyler Rosenlund
    - Johann Smith
    - Lesly Fellinga
    - Olivier Tébily
    - Pablo Vitti*
    - Emmanuel Gomez (is he still here?)
    - Amadou Sanyang
    - Mista
    - Martin Šarić
    - Maxim Usanov
    - Raivis Hščanovičs
    - Alen Stevanovic

Moved on to other MLS teams
    - Carl Robinson
    - Andrew Boyens
    - Chris Pozniak
    - Ronnie O’brien
    - Conor Casey

Doesn’t really fit any category but would technically be on he list:
    - Ali Gerba (went to USL but will probably be back in MLS next year)
    - Jim Brennan (played for TFC until retirement)
    - Danny Dichio (played for TFC until retirement)

*considered to be the best player in the Peruvian League during the 2010 season (lol!)

    ^ Cool List.

Is that for real about Vitti? If so, good for him! I mean Peru isn't exactly the giant of SA but they did alright as a country last time I saw them play in last September's match.

I loved Labrocca as well, but it wasn't a get rid of situation with him....personal reasons and he came to the team to see what they could do to move him....getting Gordon in return wasn't a bad trade off though.

Name the ex-TFC player to make the MLS All-Star team?

    If you guessed DeRo, incorrect.

    Congrats to Nick Labrocca.

I don't care who's come and gone, I just want stability. I don't care if we win or lose, I just want someone to love. I'm at the point now where I hardly have any attachment to this club. The names on the shirts and on the office doors change so often.

When Preki got here and overhauled the club with 12 new players it took me half a season to warm up to the side. Then Aron arrives and does the same thing at the start of the year, and half that again half way through the season.

I think the only player I truly regret us losing is Guevara. I wish he was still here. Anyone else ? Meh.
a ha ha heh he hoo.. ha

The goals are a bit of a surprise but they've been playing him high. I was confused as to why they shipped out Labrocca and kept Peterson. He seemed to be doing well in Winters' system in its early shambled days and can play anywhere in mid (with a bit more intelligence and skill than Peterson).

I think you missed Collin Samuel, probably others I can't think of as well... we've had soooooooo many players I can't keep tabs.

Hard to have an attachment to a team when its a turnstile like this.

Love all the new signings we made recently, they all interview well and seem like good characters which is a really good thing but can we keep a core of players for a few years PLEASE?

Word on the street was that he asked to be traded because of personal family issues that he needed to be close to.
