Great love does not exist without joy and without great suffering ,that's why One club is worth only as much as its fans !

What? No "sights and sounds" of the match and afterwards on TFC-TV this time?

It would have been interesting to be a fly on the wall in the dressing-room post-match.

I was looking past this game anyway to the 20th but was hoping for a 1-1 draw. Would've settled for a 3-2 loss. Twellman said it last night on the broadcast talking about salvaging some dignity in a goal. There was none.

The Globe's headline shows about as much inventiveness as TFC did last night. No taurine pun? No "Running of the Red Bulls"? "Bull Market As NY Goes Up 3 Points"?

LOL. NYRB wasn't on a roll.

Their previous 4 results included 3 ties to Portland, Chicago, San Jose and a loss to Seattle. Before going into the game they tied more than half their games.

They weren't exactly tearing up the league. But TFC made them look like they were.

Well they are the highest scoring in the league. And they didn't have Henry, the highest scorer in the league last game. And I believe they are top of the East. They aren't tearing up the league with wins but they aren't exactly suffering. Victory through Parity I guess.

Yes. And TFC did a good job of helping them pad their lead.

TFC also helped them shoot up to first in the league in goal difference.

TFC on the other hand now has a goal difference of -17. The next closest team is Portland at -9.

While this is true, those results were mainly due to a) Gold Cup commitments and b) shoddy keeping.

Everyone, minus Marquez, is back for NYRB and they are one of the best teams in the league.

    Still no excuse.

Interesting to hear the commentators on TSN last night for both games (double header).

TFC - Luke W. (TFC and Goal TV) and Tyler T. (Ex. N.E. Revolution Forward)

Whitecaps - Nick. D (TFC A. Coach and Interim H.C.) and Arlo W. (Seattle Sounders Scouting Report)
"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

Frei set the record for "facing the most shots" in the league.

Just realized the bright side of this loss... we could have almost been beaten 5-0 by a Red Bulls squad that still had DeRo on it's roster. That would have been fun, huh?

Just released the latest SoccerNation podcast - Kurt Larson and Duane Rollins talk about video technology and how it could have affected the Nutrilite final.

The fact that we could argue for 40 minutes (edited down to 15) about 3 calls, despite looking at video, tells me that it's not the answer.
