Is TFC the worst professional soccer club in the world? I would like to watch a contest between last place teams from third and fourth level leagues from across the globe and enjoy watching TFC fuck up and not score a goal. Frings and the other guy won't make any difference.

If plata scores on some o his early chances, this is a different game. Alas, not to be. Game over, TFC, you lose.

Our midfielders are painful to watch. Soolsma is a donkey and Martinha has been dining on that Portland goal all season. We need creativity desperately bad

    Still better than Vancouver

That's the only team where this line up doesn't look like we're mailing it in right from the start.

Winter has been shockingly deficient when it comes to tactics/lineup selection/in-game adjustments. I thought this guy knew what he was doing, it's been a rather rude awakening thus far.

guys don't go all Chicken Little on me we all knew it was going to take something special to get points from New York, (in Harrison?). Let's face it our starting lineup is missing 5 out of 11 starting players and we are a bad team and we were always building for next season. Our B team lost to the 3rd best team in the league, it happens lets move on

The only reason I saw that goal is because I'm waiting for the Copa America game to come back on. My god does this team ever suck.

If I was Frei, I'd be picking up a plane after the game to anywhere other than Toronto.

Plata and Soolsma had great chances in the first 15 minutes or so and both shoots were right at sutton. I know that happens sometimes but c'mon score on one of those and totally different game.

We're getting fucked left and right. We're like a $5 hooker on Sherbourne giving away points to anyone who shows up. It's incredible how crap we are fifth year into the whole thing.

New York switched to a counterattacking style after the first 20 minutes, which is why the ball keeps going to Martina and why New York keeps attacking Gargan -- they're channeling the ball those ways deliberately via positional play.

Plata hasn't disappeared, Solli has marked him out of the game by staying back 80% of the time.

I get that Winter is trying to install a 4-3-3. My problem is why doesn't Winter ever adjust his tactics depending on the circumstances? ie NYRB in NY minus several TFC starters? Why would you try to play so wide open when it's clear you will get ripped apart?

Not only that but some basic stuff (that Twellman pointed out) like spacing between our mids and backline has been amateurish. The "4-3-3" was playing like a "4-1-5" with Yourass and Tchani playing so far advanced and never tracking back. The manager needs to identify that and make the adjustments to correct it. DURING THE GAME and QUICKLY

We can have 5 deisgnated players, if our tactics are going to be this shit, no points are going to be forthcoming.

Yes it is. Twellman said "You've gotta have pride as a professional" in reference to TFC giving up. I can't even imagine what possession is going to be.
