As a German national, I'm a bit embarrassed that he can't speak English.
He probably chose footy over homework and since he never played outside of Germany, he didn't need to learn it.
In the presser, he apologized and said he'd improve his English, but at this stage, I wouldn't expect any long-winded interviews or locker room speeches.
Nonetheless, I'm so stoked.
