yup... i think the better team gets the breaks. they are creating chances that the opposition has trouble dealing with. they take more chances etc.

I don't recall seeing Yourassowsky roll around like he had been shot in either of the 2 Vancouver games. Wonder if someone had a word with him about it. He was really good out there today. Be great if these two games give the team a shot of confidence and we can steal a point or 3 against NY on Wed.

One thing is certain, today's NCC victory was much more entertaining and enjoyable than last year's victory.

Based on what I have heard, this was exactly the case.

I saw that and had the same reaction. Classless move on Roger's part.

Got home from the game and re-watched it on tv. Had to listen to Forrest tell me 15-20 times that Martina's ball was not conclusively over the line.

Please note: Just because we can't see green grass on the screen, doesn't mean the angle is inconclusive.

We can assume that the goal line is straight and the ball is round.

We can't see air either, but there's facts available that conclusively prove it's all around us.

I have less problem with officials missing this call than I do with Craig Forrest needing to continue his streak of never admitting error in 5 years.

Here it is, heavily cropped to meet the board's upload limit, the original file is 8 mb. It's a good thing that Sulfur isn't an inch taller or his head would have blocked the photo.

No trophies for the jackasses there on that rainy, rainy Wed night.

Three Canadian championships, not bad. I just wish the competition was bigger. In the US Open Cup the have PDL teams and amateur teams, I'd love to see CSL team and PDL teams in the Voyageurs Cup.

There's not much "magic of the cup" here, even less going forward with 3 MLS teams and 1 NASL team next year.

Kind of respectfully disagree. The "Montreal Miracle" and that little entertaining match that we all saw today are more than enough magic to start creating a lot of legend IMHO

Does anyone have any pictures of the top of 110? Mario ran up 3 flags before the game started for us to wave along with the Bastards 2 stick and a new Bastards railing banner. I hope it looked good. That huge Bitchy RPB flag is a, well, bitch to wave in the wind up there!

yeah, I've always found the NCC to be a nail-biting tourney. Sure some games are less interesting than others, but it always comes down to the wire.

it was actually some of the most exciting football I've seen at BMO all season. They're sure to build us a gate now

Probably the most fun I've had at BMO in a while, maybe ever. Rocking in the stands, good football, campeones. Magic.

What a little bit of confidence does to the team.

By no means it was a perfect game, and TFC was fortunate that Chiumiento did not play, DeMerit was not 100% and Cannon shit the bed. Oh, and Hassli sucking helped too.

But the lads played well. I saw the glimpse of Winter's vision of TFC football during the Houston game, and again it was on display. Sure, Vancouver sucks and TFC won't play like this consistently all the time, but it was beautiful to watch, especially play down the wing and passes and decision making were good overall.

What pleased me the most was that the lads woke up after Camilo's classy free kick goal and played their balls out. I'm not a fan of long ball to static attacking players, but the lads fought hard for it. There was a lot of effort.

Everyone played their role and it's really hard for me to criticize anyone individually for big faults. There was a bit of sloppy defending esp near the end, but there was a lot of chances created.

Very happy with the team performance and always a good time to stick one up Vancouver.

    On to Nicaragua!
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

    -Eduardo Galeano
