Mariner says, we have this much money for guys this year, i think these guys would be valuable to our team. Winter says sure, bring them in. They get signed.

To be sure, these are the two highest profile players to ever suit up for TFC; I guess that in itself is something.

Without question. At the very least, it illustrates that the new regime is capable of bringing in the type of high profile players that Mo Johnston was incapable of recruiting.

It also demonstrates that despite the abysmal track record, MLSE is in fact willing to invest in 3 designated players.

their titles, Winter realizing the amount of work that goes into both jobs when he could be doing one. Hes prob assesed what needs to be done and will do it on his end and expect that De Klerk will do his and Mariner his. They will come together like Voltron.

I hope you're right that it comes together and works well, but I hope you're wrong that this organization allowed yet another guy to learn on the job and it didn't work out the way he expected and there was no one else around who knew this.

He can shoot... but never scored more than six goals in league play. He scored 10 goals total two years ago and 7 last year, so he's still playing to his career average in Bundesliga... encouraging.

It's a shame that TFC has played most of their home games already. I would love to see Frings and Koevermans play more than a handful of games in person this season.
