Looks like not going to happen since JDG is at practice, but then again, maybe the deal might be stuck later on the day or tomorrow morning. So who knows for now.

Correct. Injury can easily scuttle a deal... teams don't take chances in that situation.

Johnson is at BMO just saw a pic from Asif on twitter. Guess he's still settling in with the team. Wonder if he will be available for Wednesday?
There's got to be more to this than injury. Maybe they're going through a 4-3-3 crash course.

Maybe instead of showing up at a media dog and pony show they're using an extra day to recover from knocks (Frei/Santos) and rest or to move into their new houses/settle in to a new city and country and do whatever assorted mundane stuff goes along with moving to a new place.

Hi I'm a Southampton fan and a long-time TFC follower/sufferer from across the pond.
We had Leandre Griffit at Saints a few years ago. I'm confident that he'd suit Winter's system just right.
He's quick and very technical. Got a good touch/close control and rarely wastes a pass in the final third. I'm hoping that these trades will turn our season around.
Maybe Griffit was the centrepiece of that deal o_O
So Griffit is match-fit then? I thought there were some suggestions coming in that he wasn't.
That would be a nice surprise if true. Both these guys look legitimately under-utilized by Columbus.
Bear in mind that Griffit stood out as a good player when Southampton were still in the Premier League, albeit a few years ago.
Then again, there may be a reason why Columbus never played him.
Hard to believe no one has jumped on the "Maybe Frei and Santos are being traded" bandwagon yet. The rest have somewhat legitimate reasons to be sitting.
So do Frei and Santos since they are nursing injuries.
Other than a bruised ego from being the keeper with the worst GAA among regular keepers what injury is Frei nursing?
Hmmm, well, it's just after 2 pm. Seems like we should be hearing about an imminent trade any minute now, given the activity the last couple of days(and getting no work done as a result)

I guess I'm in the minority in that I want to see how JDG will perform with his new teammates.

I'm the other guy in that minority group.
I'm with you on this, but from what I've seen from him the last few games either his head is not in it or his knee is in such bad shape that it's ruined his game. Unfortunate either way but lets see what the next couple of games brings.
We're not the minority, just the quiet ones.
However, I am waiting for the next trade to happen........
We want JDG out because he's costing us a DP slot and cap space that we can use to get much better player or multiple of decent players.

JDG should do what Claudio Lopez did.....take a paycut!
