The DeRo story just won't go away. At least something has now been set straight:

Other than saying he remains “very disappointed” with the way things unfolded in Toronto, De Rosario is reluctant to get into details of his dispute with the club’s brass. In the end, he said, he’d had enough of “the BSing” as the two sides couldn’t agree on re-writing his existing contract — paying him $493,750 (U.S.) this year — and asked for a trade.

TFC Captain DERO, leaves goes on goal spress.

TFC Captain M Santos leaves for Dalles, has a goal and assist in 2 games on the bounce.

    notice a pattern here?

Pretty much the pattern for the last 5 years for most strikers/goal scorers we've had that left.

This always happens all over the world with players who leave their club. They feel refreshed and for a while they do very well until leveling off and continuing to play the way they always have.

Now lets be honest with ourseleves here, Dero has always been a great player, so there's no surprise that he is posting the numbers he is. If anyone thought he wouldn't do what he's doing now is delirious.
I'm not convinced on Maicon. He was good, but I don't think he'll be MLS superstar good.

We can look to Peri Marosevic and say the same thing for him. Guys been on the bench for two years - comes here and scored 2 goals in 5 games and has been a spark plug for the team.

Heck even Alan Gordan scored a few when he first got here - then the same ol injuries that plagued him his whole career started up again.

So, are you saying he never had any significant goal "sprees" while in Red?

DeRo, had the best output of his career in Red.

Alan Gordon had the best output of his career in Red.

I guess you'll "notice" what you are hoping to find.

Yes. They scored goals for TFC and now they're scoring elsewhere.

That dero article should be about the CMNT and beginning the qualifying campaign well on Friday.

    Instead it's 90% TFC and 10% CMNT.

The writer took the CMNT training camp as an opportunity to stir the shit again with Dero and TFC.

    It's pathetic.

It really shouldn't be unexpected. Dwayne hasn't played in Toronto since he left. I am sure some of the media have been wanting to get this initial "post-TFC" interview for a while. Hopefully it doesn't take over what should be a couple of days of CMNT coverage.

Funny enough, his focus right now is solely on the CMNT, so this TFC business is all drummed up drama.

No mention in that article of how Dwayne is paying out of his own pocket to send Canadian fans to the game in an effort to get more Canada fans in the stands. He bought the tickets himself. What other CMNT has done that?

That makes sense. It just seems so long since the dero trade and I think most people have moved on.

For what it's worth, he deserves credit for taking the high road and saying it's not the time to talk about it.

Dero vs. TFC is old news and bringing it up now (when there are way more important things to talk about with him. Ie CMNT) smacks of a writer just tryin to be controversial for the sake of readership.

FWIW it's been a good thing that The Return of DeRo has been delayed. It has provided time for emotions to settle. In the light of day I think we can all appreciate his contributions to the club and put the other nonsense behind us.

The post above yours, complete with the derogatory name for Dwayne De Rosario, proves otherwise unfortunately...

well good for him for doing that. the article seems to be the writer doing his best to try and get into it again, de ro gives the impression of not wanting to talk about it, but he just keeps on getting asked.

That's a great point. That easily could have been the focus of the article. Instead this writer is going for shock value.

And I for one won't get sucked into pointless arguments again. We all have feelings on DeRo as it pertains to TFC but now is the time to get behind the CMNT.

I plan on being there on Friday..and while I don't love the guy...I'll be cheering for him to help us win.
