the whole issue is why mlse decided to allot so many games to a specialty channel with quite limited access when the team "brand" is clearly declining and still needs to grow.

Part of the rise of TFC over the last couple years was because people would catch a game on a saturday afternoon on CBC and get interested in the entire atmosphere at the game they'd see. Spark enough interest and people would head on down to the game.
Now look at whats changed:
1) No games on "free" tv
2) Most games are now in the evening and competing with other sports - baseball, hockey playoffs, bball playoffs, etc
3) Atmosphere at games are being "modified" by FO. It's just not the same anymore

well that's exactly what's puzzling me. what's their motivation for putting all these games on gol? TFC isn't exactly a hot brand in toronto right now, tickets aren't selling, bmo is never full.... but they remedy this by... restricting viewers? doesn't make much sense. besides, i'm not a huge bundesliga or la liga fan, and outside of these two + TFC, i don't find anything else of interest on GOL... so TFC does not justify the additional monthly fee i have to pay in addition to crazy ticket prices at BMO. highly doubt i'm of the minority in thinking this either.
