thank god my wife didn't see this,...or the bidding would have gone thru the roof lol.........................and yes if money is going to charity,...priceless,...I did the same, spent loads for right to play auction, and DeRo signed the lot.....it's a win, win

    that is two less zeros
The COA pic gets bigger if you click it, it's stated as his 8000th MLS goal, but it's just a funny way of wording that he scored the 8000th mls goal. So it technically is his 8000th mls goal, but only in the context of ownership.

Really whoever wrote the COA should have worded it better.

Exactly I was just happy he was the one who scored it.

Dero aside- this 8000th goal thing confuses me. does anyone know who scored the 7000th? or 6000th? or 5000th? Will people remember the 9000th? What about the 10 000th? What about in other leagues? This is the most arbitrary 'milestone' I think I've ever seen celebrated in sports. Glad the money went to charity, but I'd sooner have given the money straight there and not given the MLS the idea that there is some inherent value in a milestone that they create.

It's really not that big of a deal...but you can google the prior goals and who scored them. The 7000th goal was scored by Chris Wondolowski.

All i know is i will remember the 8000th, so will many other TFC fans.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
