Opening of the MLS Reserve League for the Reds this Sunday morning at Downsview Park
The MLS Reserve League has returned to action in 2011 and the season opens for the Reds this Sunday morning at Downsview Park when they take on the visiting DC United. Kickoff is at 11 am. It would be great to get a good group of supporters out to cheer on a home side that will include a lot of the youngsters including Omphroy, Gold, Plata, Stinson etc.

Are all the reserve games going to be there?
I do not know, I assume the one against Columbus next week will be at BMO as it is right after the first team.

if it rains are they going to use the indoor pitch? they have there? anyone know? There is one there in a worse case. I may try to make it for the Reserve game either way.

Aleman would be a good choice for some action, calling up academy kids for reserve games is a great thing to do, actually it has been quite common across the league this season.

i thought so too...i thought he might turn into a DeRo, but Winter had him playing in JDG's role on Wednesday when he came on and he looks so good on the ball in that position..can't wait until he gets more experienced and a bit more stronger
good spot on aleman going to u17's ryan...not sure who would honestly play that winger spot...i think Makubuya is suited for that winger spot, but we don't even have a striker...maybe Allando Matheson...he was called up before right?
Thought Matheson left, was never terribly impressed by him
Matheson attended a prep school this year and has a scholarship to UConn next year to play for the Huskies.

It is also quite a narrow field, which should effect the tactics each play employs.

there's snow up there? this april is the shittiest april for gameday weather I've experienced in 5 seasons. march sucked too.

Ya the game got called to due a flash blizzard/hail storm there. It was like a summer day when I left my house, I got to the field about 10 mins before kickoff. The players from both teams were warming up on the pitch. All of sudden the storm came in and it was crazy. They called the game and both teams boarded the buses and left.
I was really looking forward to catching this game, since I missed last nights game.
