Default Jay DeMerit, what a story....

Great story on Jay DeMerit's journey in football, I knew part of his history about going over to England backpacking etc...but wow it really is quite a story and hopefully get to see the movie soon. I gotta say, just the type of person you want as your captain.

In their home opener against TFC, Sportsnet did a special on him before the game. I didn't know much about his story then. I have alot of respect for him.

That's why he's the captain for the Whitecaps.

Seeing as this was Vancouver's first signing is this a testament to the development of the league since 2007, or us?

But wasn't it because Vancouver had first rights on an American international wanting to come back to play in the MLS, like TFC had first rights on McBride?
