    Morning 'D!

to angry to post a coherent responce to the "Moving in the right direction" interview.

You guys should really listen to Paul James's podcast this week. Sums up our frustration quite well.

    Morning D

When will be get past the DeRo talk? He was all we talked about when he was here. Now he's gone and he's still all we talk about.

What I find amazing is the more and more we learn the more and more it looks like Winter was telling the most accurate side of the story.

    This news is pretty interesting.

The saturation of DeRo talk is mostly on this board. This club changing news isn't even a week old.

The more I read, the more I like the way Winter handled it. Obviously, the discontent didn't arise overnight and DeRo's Celtic stint was a door he was hoping would lead out of the situation.

Winter walked in and publicly allowed room for De Rosario to save face. He repeatedly dismissed questions about whether he would play by simply saying "he is our captain and leader, why wouldn't he?"

Rather than risk a full season of discontent the trade was agreed to. And the return, considering what we paid for him, is significant.

I'm not sure what De Rosario hopes to gain. His move apparently wasn't motivated by a desire to win a Cup. It appears that he will play out this year on the same contract as he had in Toronto as the league holds his rights. But perhaps for everyone involved, a change of scenery is needed to retain some degree of sanity.

For a club that has been mismanaged throughout its existence, Winter's stance and handling of a difficult situation is very encouraging.

He got away from an organization run by idiots. (Winter and Mariner excluded because they deserve more a chance before they get labeled with the rest of the buffoons at this club).

Rachel McAdams is from London/St. Thomas unless you are giving her honorary "Torontonian" status for going to university there. She could be a 75 Mile Bastard.

I remember when Jumbo was brought to town, and seeing him on the back of a flatbed truck,
with his legs cut off so he could fit under bridges.

Some huge MLS news is missing here:

Real Salt Lake reaches CONCACAF Champions League final

    http://www.google.com/hostednews/can...?docId=6478084

First time an MLS side has accomplished it since 2000, and the first time under the current competition rules.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

Congrats to our fellow MLS side. One can only hope one day we have a team that's rolling as good as RSL is right now. They don't even have a true star player, it seems to be all about team chemistry with them.

^ That's why losing DeRo doesn't necessarily consign us to the basement. It will all depend on the type of team Winter & Co. can build.

it's only been a matter of days.

We need to keep in mind that this site is ground zero for TFC news. Rumours, reports, links etc... it all goes though here first. When an article is published, we're talking about it before most people have even flipped to the sports section.

what's my point? the Dero trade is still a current story.

Most of us have reached the 'acceptance' phase, and just want to move on.
Most of the papers and most of the casual readers are still interested.
We can't fault them for wanting to talk about an interesting topic just because we're done with it.

I thought it was from about 40 yards out, not in his own end.

Still it was a bad goal to concede.
