DeRo should have been given a DP deal, simple as, no ifs ands or buts. Now you can bet your ass NY is going to give him that deal or they wouldn't have traded for him. So for those keeping count at home DeRo is going to be a DP alongside Marquez and Henry yet we couldn't give our hometown captain who scored half our teams goals a DP deal... makes sense.

Trying to be objective about this...If this kid Tchani really is one of the most talented young attacking midfielders in the league, and Borman can help stabilize the backline, the overall package (including the 1st round pick) might benefit TFC long term.
In the short term though, this really stings and could leave a gaping hole in our lineup in terms of offensive production. I really liked the way DeRo was playing in Winter's offensive scheme.

We've only played two games under the new regime and we already blew it up. What if Martina and Stevanovich are busts? We took a risk trading our number one scorer based on a decent game on Saturday against a horrible opponent.
