"Before the game, a moment of silence was held for Joel Reynaga, La Turbina Amarilla member and Nordecke regular. Yellow flowers were placed on his drum as the whole stadium mourned a terrible loss. RIP Joel."
Portland is just...Awesome.
Sad time for crew supporters.

Nice. Thanks Davyd.
Sad time for Columbus above. No matter the club the loss of a fellow supporter is always sad.
banner that KC had in Chicago earlier in the season.

If only we could...
Haha, I love the riot reference from Seattle.
That's the difference between Seattle and Vancouver. Vancouver playing at home with 20,000 fans and Seattle bring 500+ fans. You would think the home fans would make more noise (ie chant and sing), but by the pics and the articles I read, it was the 500+ Seattle fans making the most noise. Very sad for Vancouver.
I have to ask this question. Is Vancouver a soccer city? Would that happen in Toronto. I think this deserves a thread to discuss if Vancouver and even Toronto are truly soccer cities from a fans point of view (Hardcore fans) like Seattle and Portland. Do we just have more casual fans in these cities than in Seattle and Portland.
Thanks
Meh. They got clobbered 3-1.... They have 4 wins all season.... They're angry.
Anybody surprised they got outsung by a large group of away supporters who got a great result and are flying high into the playoffs?
What is a Seattle riot anyway? Do they throw coffee cups and dirty syringes at eachother?
Also helps that it's only a 2 1/2 hour trip from Seattle to Vancouver.
Toronto can get a number in Montreal and vice versa.... if they fuckin' held the matches on a weekend instead of a weeknight.
Even if Vancouver and Seattle had the same records and were fighting for a playoffs spot. I think the Seattle fans would still make more noise than the Vancouver fans. Seattle have more hardcore fans, simple as that.
I think the riot banner was referring to the rioting the Vancouver Canuck fans were doing after their game 7 loss in the Stanley Cup finals.
Its common in England where the 2 or 3,000 fans travelling to say Manchester United at Old traffod and the 2 or 3,000 fans are way louder then the other 70,000 United home fans. That just an example but it happens all the time across the country.
Also Vancouver support is no where as organized or as loud as in Portland and Seattle and i also dont think Vancouver even really tryed to aim there tickets sales towards hardcore supporters like they did in Portland and Seattle. Vancouver is more of a familiy/soccer mom and kids sort of crowd. I think Toronto are alot louder then in Vancouver. However Portland and Seattle are the best supporters in the league, its going to be hard to beat them and it hasent helped that TFC have higher prices even tho the team is shit and such, and example while Seattle fans were getting free friendly games like against Chelsea they were charging $125 for a friendly TFC vs Real Madrid. I think are support has gone down a bit over the years because of things like this. Some TFC fans have had enough. But TFC support is still probably better then most other teams. And are away support still had the biggest travelling numbers at Columbus and getting a few hundred fans 7 hours away to montreal on a tuesday night is still better then any other team could do.

Check out the march they had before the game!!
AMAZING!!
It would seem apathy has set in.
I've noticed participation in this forum is dwindling as well.
Some winning will help, but apparently the FO doesn't want Seattle or Portland style support here or they would have made more of an effort engaging the supporters.
I don't think they realise most people come because of the raucous support.
More raucous support = More ticket demand
