Yourassowsky, better than Hscanovics from what I've seen.
Matt Gold is rated highly in the university circles.

    Should be okay

We almost had one "Jamal Gay"

    Imagine the commentators,
    "Gay gives it to Yourassowsky"

^ I think that's because we're probably going to line up like this, with two d-mid types shielding the back-line. These guys are going to be asked to do a lot and will be key to holding it all together.. will be important to have some competition and depth in those spots.

    ----------AM--------------
    ------DM----DM-----------
    LWB----CB----CB-----RWB

It looks defensive at face value but the two backs get up and attack in a hurry.

This is a pretty good assessment. We were seeing glimpses of this in the last preseason game against DCU before the ejection. Yourassowsky and Zavarise seemed to have some chemistry along the left wing.

I believe that Plata already has a loan deal with MLS. I'm hearing that he's not with the team in Vancouver though. Perhaps someone else can confirm this? After the Yourassowsky signing, it would be interesting to get a definitive answer on the number of international roster spots that TFC has left open.

Plata also just appeared on the roster. Guessing he was already signed with the loan deal.

Edit: Ok, that's strange, he's gone. He was just there a minute ago.

If Matt Gold has been signed, Plata has been signed for sure, or will be.

    Yeah, that's what I figure.

He's on the roster on http://www.mlssoccer.com/players/toronto-fc but not http://www.torontofc.ca/players

Plata will be one to watch, that's for sure.
The fact that he's scoring goals in combine/preseason at his height, he looks very promising.

Yourassowsky is on the MLS roster link twice. Does that mean he is that good that he takes up two slots?

Plata is interesting since he was loaned to the MLS, so I am not sure if actually had to be signed since he already has a contract. Does anyone know if he actually needs to sign a MLS contract, I wonder on that one.

I really like what he brings to the pitch despite his small stature. It will be interesting to see how he does when given a chance.

This guy Yourassovsky will have some experience of playing in windy conditions. Check out the Rijeka stadium, Kantrida - it's carved into the side of a steep hill alongside the Adriatic...

I have been there and it is an amazing thing to see. You can stop you car at the top of the road (above the mountain) and see right down to the field.

Happy about both. Hope Yourassowsky doesn't turn out to be a Garcia- or Saric-style card machine, though.

LOL, seriously, why didn't he at least change the english spelling of his name? Yurasowsky wouldn't be nearly as bad...
