Toronto FC announced Friday that the club has signed Canadian international midfielder Gianluca Zavarise. The 24-year-old is a native of Burnaby, BC who joined Toronto FC as a trialist in Turkey last month and is currently with the club in Charleston, South Carolina.

The one positive I can see is, other than the Bouchiba signing, all these guys being signed are young guys. Hopefully a sign that the team intends to work with a core group of guys for the future.

Just hope they can play too.

Zavarise is #33 for TFC against Partizan. He's on the left side playing behind Martina. Was Zavarise who Winter had in mind when he was taking about acquiring a left winger in the interview after the Charleston game?
