Even though you gave us a warning, I think Eastend should be given a board infraction for posting that link.

The sad thing is, when I read this, my first reaction is "...March 19th, we're f*****..."

A DP Striker, in a league with poor defending and organization - GO FIGURE!

    Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit...

I think that this happened a long time ago and people are just now acknowledging it.

Yes, I've been hearing that there are more people playing footy for years. The article is about more than that. I suspect that the G&M just picked that headline to get people's attention.

Highlights from TFC's training match vs the Cougars college team, including comments from Winter: http://torontofc.neulion.com/tfc/con...atid=2&id=2832

Opening luncheon for the Charleston Cup, with some old familiar faces:

(Exhibition) GAME DAY! TFC 5pm today vs. Chicago today, live on TFC website.

EDIT: Holy, shit's getting real, from the Blair article: "In June, Canada’s ninth-ranked women’s team will open the 2011 World Cup against Germany at the sold-out, 74,228-seat Olympiastadion in Berlin." Talk about a high-profile stressful start for Canada! That will be a real test.

Also interesting in that article, the perspectives on marketing & sponsorship WRT. soccer in Canada, and especially what it could be.

I would expect to see a semblence of the starting lineup play in Charleston. Hopefully, TFC can earn good results in the tournament and build some confidence going into the regular season.

The current state of the roster does not inspire optimism, but I'm assuming that Winter and Mariner will sign a few more players following the tournament and that they will be relying more on youth from the Academy and the MLS Drafts to augment the roster.

Surprised that Zavarise hasn't been signed yet. He's played remarkably well.

well thats the list that toronto fc released today, so either he has rejoined the team, or they didn't bother to take him off the list, due to not leaving camp "officially" like if he was cut (just an example)
