good, bad, lucky, unlucky, it doesn't matter, after all it is history, first draw in europe, against a very good team.
seriously, i consider it a better result than losing one nothing to chelsea.

Tough to read much into this.
Cordon looks interesting in the 1-2 clips in there.
Attakora's goal looked pretty good from the video.
The striker from Ajax trialing had some moves that would burn the average MLS defender.
Who is #39 with the dredlocks for the Reds?
Remember The Man, The Legend, The Goal 5-12-07 and All That #9 Left On The Pitch, Thanks For The Memories !!!
Thats the striker from Ajax I was refering to.

Game On - TFC v Partizan Belgrade
http://tinyurl.com/656ajyp
Toronto FC kicks off their exhibition pre-season matches for 2011 with a 1-1 draw against Serbian side Partizan Belgrade.
I like us playing some quality teams during preseason. It is very impressive that we played a team that made it to the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, even if they were playing an experimental line up (they got killed in Group H, so maybe not so impressive).
If we can play decently against Red Star Belgrade, that would be amazing.

Definitely a positive result. One thing that worries me though, and this is based on the video posted as well as our style last season, is that most of the players on our team have a terrible first touch, rarely find space, and really can't pass the ball well. These are aspects of the game that in my opinion will be vital going forward, especially for the the style Winter expects us to play.
To me what I read of the game it was the same ol same ol.
The only difference was the width comment.
Looking at the TFC video, the play looks different.
I had a feeling like I've never seen this team before, even though a lot of the players look familiar.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
^What little they show it looked like preseasson. I'm hoping by the end of the tourney the squad will be more relaxed on the pitch. It's to be expected since there are jobs on the line.

Who is number 7 for the Reds?

Is Peterson time like when you feel a #2 coming on?
Anyways, from the little glimpses we saw, I have to say that I like the way the team are playing. Under this system I guarantee that even Guzi scores this season! Anyone wanna take me up on that? :P
So now that all the other whipping boys have left the club is Peterson is going to be the new focus of those who would prefer to criticize than support the players?
Can't we just wait and see if Peterson plays this year like he did at the end of last year, in which case he will be a useful member of the squad?
So nobody knows who 7 is for the Reds in that Video?
Peterson was painful to watch for the better part of last season but I'm willing to cut him some slack because he had to use the regular season to play his way back into form coming off a serious injury. If he can build on his level of play towards the end of last season he should be able to contribute in Winter's system. The goal he scored against RSL off the wing was one of the finest efforts I've seen from a TFC player...
Has anyone been wondering if we are assessing any of the Rubin Kazan/Partizan/Red Star players? I'm wondering if Winters has the gaul to make a move for some of their players who aren't getting a look in the first team (for the big games).
Cleo(Kleo) just got let go (maybe on transfer, maybe free) he went to China!? We could have made a move for him, he is a striker and was instrumental in getting Partizan to the Group stages of CL.....oh well
I saw TFC put together a few successive passes in the video and that is a positive step. If they are taking to that type of system right away that can mean good things in a few months when the games count.
Also did Nana's goal remind anyone of Ibrahomovic's goal from a few weeks back?
^ I thought Ibra's goal was from a tighter spot, and not so much of a "cross/chip", if we are thinking of the same goal.
