    Morning all

    Carver takes loss as benchmark

Coach believes Reds proved championship-worthy in defeat

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- As Toronto FC head coach John Carver addressed his team prior to Saturday night's 2-1 loss against New England, he said that Saturday's game against the Eastern Conference leaders would serve as a benchmark for his improving team. "I'm standing here now really disappointed because I thought we could have gotten something from the game and we deserved something from the game and we haven't gotten it," Carver said. "That's the sign of a good side that can go and win the championship."
It wasn't a performance for the scrapbook, as the visitors had to scratch and claw their way into position to grab a point in the last 10 minutes of the game.
"When they were under pressure, they headed things and kicked things and gone on with it," Carver said. "But I'm not going to fault them in there because they've done everything for their coach today. They've showed me some good signs."
That pressure boxed Toronto in from the opening whistle. After Steve Ralston scored 11 minutes into the game, the Revs continued to create chance after chance even though TFC pushed further up the field and tried to create some offensive opportunities. Ralston's second goal appeared to seal the contest with a half-hour left in the contest.

Toronto FC: Looking for Help in a BIG way
FC are now in talks with Scottish international and Manchester City Forward Paul Dickov. Thirty-five year old Dickov has had a yo-yoing career to say the least but he's always a player who takes the pitch to give a 100% effort. Spending the 2006-2007 season struggling through injury, Dickov has defied naysayers in 2008 with a successful loan at Blackpool.

Summary "Rohan Ricketts came into Casino Rama Grill room in his full kit. No one has ever done that before"

Boy is Rohan making a name for himself in Toronto, I wonder if he is planning on being here for a while or just haivng a good time while he is?

    From this article

Dickov is not the only name being tossed around in Toronto as the speculation of Sunderland teammates Ross Wallace and Liam Miller echo loud. Both midfielders, Wallace and Miller are believed to be out of favor at Sunderland and FC is believed to be looking to them to strengthen their bench and the middle of the park.

What the heck would we do with another 2 midfielders? This rumour is old so I'm not sure if this person has just been out of the loop or if he is trying to resurface the rumour.

Didn't Miller sign with Rangers? I might be wrong about this one.

Vancouver are second in the United Soccer League First Division with a record of 7-3-2, but they are without a win in their last four games in all competitions, and have scored just once. The Whitecaps have lost two of their most influential defenders in the past few days. Adrian Cann and former Reds defender Chris Pozniak have both left the club to move to Europe.

yep, a girl I work with has been pretty close to him since they met last year, and she told me last week that he's off to play in Germany.

Good for Poz! He may not have been the most skilled player on our team, but he never mailed it in.
