“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”
-Eduardo Galeano
I agree with Yohan, what's the downside of this exactly?
We get to take a chance on a guy who made a bunch of NCAA "standouts" look foolish all week, he's highly skilled, and only 18. We have no obligation to keep him if he doesn't show well in camp and for this right we gave away a dime-a-dozen keeper? BFD
Just read the article on the TFC website and I'm looking forward to seeing our draft selections in the upcoming season. Demitrius Omphroy seems particularly happy to be here, which is always great to hear.
I can't believe that some people are upset that we made a high risk/high reward pick at 49th overall. I mean, come on.
Great draft for us. Omphroy fills a need, a speedy attacking defender. If Plata can hack it, then that's just gravy.
