Sports Business Journal (no link-sub req'd) has article on MLSE search for Peddie replacement. Says there is considerable internal support for Anselmi to take the CEO job.

what a doucheLast we left the Jeff Cunningham story, negotiations between the Columbus Crew and the second all-time leading goal scorer in MLS history were at an impasse. Now Cunningham’s apparently making the next move, which could see him heading to Scandinavia.

Thanks for the co-ed girls. They helped wash the bad taste of the sunshine girl out of my mouth.
hope cunningham does go overseas and thus doesn't become leading all time mls scorer.
Considering she looks like Frankenstein's daughter, I'd say she's halfway there.SUNshine Girl Crystal wants to be a special effects make-up artist.
TORONTO FC, 2017 MLS CHAMPIONS!!! (Still the greatest in league history!)
SSG: Wow.. Redcoe, you hit the nail on the head! Friggin hideous
I've met and and chatted with both Peddie and Anselmi.
With all due respect - Anselmi is not strategic enough to replace Peddie. Even though Peddie burned many bridges and has lost the confidence of even more influential Toronto patrons - Anselmi does not have the pedigree, finesse or credibility to lead MLSE into a new sports executive era of enlightenment.
Look at the international sports landscape. To take this company to the next level you need somebody who understands the global potential. Anselmi has not demonstrated that he has that kind of mindset.
Let's be honest. He just figured out that he doesn't get football and that he should seek external help. Although, this is admirable - it does not equate enlightenment.
We can do better.
"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports
I like that Dutch connection.
