    Default 2011 MLS Jersey Watch

This site has collected all the new jerseys. I would post the images but it exceeds the allowed allotment of 15.

Not in love with houstons, although it is decent.

    Vancouvers shirts are pretty nice

Seattle... I hate the microfit (or whatever they call it) shirts. Hopefully for the fans sakes, they make versions that are the standard loose fit.

Not even a fan of their designs. Too pointy, not enough flow.

Are the Sounders dropping the names to the bottom of the kit, so as to not overlap that wrap-around "X"...
...unique... I actually kinda like it

    Vancouver's is wicked

    Houstons blows

If I remeber correctly the new home jersey will be very similar. They have repalced the dark grey with black. Also, the grey jersey is done it has been replaced with an all black 3rd jersey.

So the red is the first jersey, white is the second and the new black one will be the third one....

2012 the white will be repalced by the supporters designed jersey and the red and black will remain.

The jersies are on a two year cycle

That wrap-around X on the Seattle shirts is disgusting.

^ from what i've seen, it's the one galaxy have already. you're not going to see a big white X, it's just going to be a glossy over that spot, maybe a darker/lighter shade of black.

Well, we could switch to having both an alternate home AND away jerseys! That way we can all hand out even MORE money!

i totally misunderstood, nevermind. i thought he said in 2011 we were doing away with the white. my mistake!! but wait, what with the supporters kit and all, we'll have:

    - a red jersey (home)
    - a white jersey (away)
    - a black jersey (alternate)
    - a supporters jersey

why the fuck do we have 4 kits? are we introducing the black in 2012 after we ween out the supports kit this season?

Like the Whitecaps kits. The white one looks a lot like the Spurs kit in the 80's.

As a side note, the new NY Cosmo Kits:

Stunning. I wish the MLS wasn't so closely tied with adidas. I've had enough of our cookie-cutter kits.

^ i've mentioned it several times, i'd like to see the sponsorship extend to reebok, since reebok is owned by adidas. kinda like how if the league was sponsored by nike then umbro could take a few kits too. it's not like the rapids and revolution didn't have their kits manufactured by reebok before anyways! i think it ties into the problem that adidas is losing it's foothold on the soccer market to nike, and want's to reclaim it by taking on nike on home turf in the MLS.

in the perfect world, i'd love to see half the league sponsored by reebok and half by adidas. then swapping every two years. that way we could get variants like:

Gotta admit, I'm not a fan of the ghost image on their blue away tops. I'm a bit of a freak and prefer a bit of symmetry when it comes to fashion, though, so I'd just prefer they reverse the colours from the home top and have blue with white horizontal pips.

As for the third jersey, I think it would look awesome as powdered blue with dark blue pips. That's saying something, because I'm really not a fan of powder blue.

    + 1

In a perfect world I'd love each team to pick their own kit sponsor but because of the ties with adidas (which isn't a bad thing because of $$$ inflow) this isn't gonna happen anytime soon. Extending the kit contract to RBK seems like a great idea but I doubt it will happen as RBK is a much less recognizable soccer provider in comparison to adidas.

I'm not sure why we need to have national flags on club jerseys.

Seems about as relevant as fans in Columbus chanting "U-S-A" when they play us. I guess "C-O-L-U-M-B-U-S" is too hard to spell
