I didn't notice, Billyfly. You make a good point. But some might argue that this is worth it's own thread.

I will leave it to the Mods.

    Edit
    Oh and this.......

    And this...

There is just toooo much material here.

    OK. I'll simmer down now.

It's a great move by Bimbo (already a huge sponsor in Mexico) to make inroads into the US. And honestly, it doesn't look too bad on the jersey either.

...and yes, there is a lot of potential material, even more so than the material with their "poop" logo.

Bailemos el Bimbo should be played.

Can we get TRN to do this?

Of course some of you will remember this song from Police Academy:

^TRN uses TFC games as a place to have their personal jam sessions... Nothing to do with the games or trying to help other supporter groups with chants.. I know you are kind of joking but any excuse for me to vent about TRN i'm all over it.
    Sorry... off topic i know.

What happened to the "moratorium" on alcohol sponsors within MLS?

I think MLSE might want some whiteout on their contract with BMO, despite the large sum.

Wasn't it always hard liquor? Beer was always cool?

If I'm not mistaken Chivas USA had Corona turned down as their sponsor last year by the league with the Budweiser league wide deal as the reason

Odds are you're right with the Chivas - Corona deal in place.

THey had a blank sponsor all season in 2010. Personally I like it without the sponsor. Sponsors are overrated. For me I would rate kits in this order (best to worst)

    1) Kit - no sponsor
    2) Kit - sponsor
    3) Kit - team name (yuk).

Having a sponsor in MLS makes the kits and league look more "legit" - but personally, I wish we didn't have them. I wouldn't want to see the team name across the front again (that's cheese), but I prefer sponsor free.

Loved Barca's kits when they were plain.

I dunno what the MLS policy is but I'm 99.99% sure in Ontario (and maybe all of Canada) it's illigal for Alcohol or Tobacco companies to be the face of any event/thing. That's why both the symphony of fire (Benson and Hedges) and the Molson Indy died. And also why you don't see Molson affiliated with any hockey or football teams (outside of the Alluettes that I can think of. Again it may be ontario only tho)

Yeah look at the Adidas 2011 teamwear catalogue...http://www.adidas.com/campaigns/team...tent/index.aspI doubt ths is it.Someone on this board has seen the new kit and said its very similar to the current jersey, but the onyx has been replaced by black. Most of this season's new jweseys follow the "squadra II" template similar to our current jersey. That pic is of a /07 template no longer used.
