Default First TFC Academy game - THIS FRIDAY

This Friday at 8:00pm. Lamport stadium with pre/post game at Joe's.

Come out because it's better to be watching a game live, than not.

this is not the thread for talking about the price of tickets, that can be found on the old board

Sounds like a good time. I'd love to join everyone for the game, but I have to see how things go the next day or two since my father is in the hospital again.

You can, but they will be $15 at the door. They are $11 if you buy ahead of time.

I might be in for this!

Is Lamport Stadium the one about a block or two away from Shoeless?

    Yeap.

Also, forgot to mention. When you buy the ticket ahead of time it's good for any game. It's basically a voucher. Just in case it rains too hard for some of you and you decide not to go then you could always go to the next one.

How do you buy ahead of time for the academy games? I can’t go this week, but I am looking to go next week.

For tickets you can call the number that is on the Academy page of Torontofc.ca. I am going to order a flex pack today and be there for sure Friday night, will be a Shoeless before for a little dinner and drinks.

I don't know about Mo, just because there's a game on Saturday,
but I bet a few interesting characters will be walking around.

The one issue with the academy players is going to be patience, as you have to expect some of those teams are going to spank them pretty hard.

The first game is going to be a spanking in my opinion, if it isnt a 4 or so point difference, ill be surprised, not saying i dont have faith in the u18 boys, but all of these teams have been around longer than the mothership, so they have had time to work out the kinks.

I suggest you guys bring a tupperware container full of orange slices because the wee lads are going to need some refreshments at halftime when they get their butts handed to them by a very good Toronto Croatia team. 4-0 or 5-0 sounds about right to me. I hope I'm wrong.

My question is which team will have more fans at the game. Don't discount the possibility that the Croatians are going to come with a lot of fans (they've been known to travel with 500-700 fans to big games). Their fans might want to show up en masse to out cheer the TFC supporters.

We have 16,000 season season ticket holders, if we get 10% of those out for the game, that is only 1,600, where are you true supporters, support the Reds all the time.

i'll be curious to know whether the other teams will field squads of their younger players too, as a courtesy (even if their younguns are not as young as ours). the games are not recorded in the standings so it's not like they have points to battle for in crushing the kids with vets.
