    Default Post-Game: Chivas USA 3 TFC 0

A bit unlucky not to get something out of this but man oh man I am struggling to find a team we can beat at this current form. I'd go as far to say we're one of the 3 worst teams in MLS.

We were eliminated from the playoffs when San Jose won earlier today but Chivas USA made sure we wouldn't get a miracle anyway.

    Discuss another loss.

We got a few chances we should've buried (Dero off the bar, Maicon missing the follow-up, shot going off the line) but yeah Chivas deserved to win.

I don't feel pissed we lost. I stopped caring about results after last week.

We had our chances, but it wasn't meant to be.

AWFUL ENDING OF THIS GAME! (BOTH BY DERO/JDG AND REF)

I'd say right now we're the worst team in the league. DeGuzman was truly awful tonight. DeRosario refused to play two ways, basically.

Maicon Santos' work rate was good but his finishing was heinous. Usanov, Attakora and Cann all worked hard. Frei was weak. Garcia was truly horrendous. Barrett was ineffective until the injury. Lindsay showed some promise.

    Pretty sad, that one.

    Wow, what a thumping!

Maybe we can try something new for the next match, lets try a 4-2-3-1:

    -----------------------------------Frei----------------------------------
    Gargan---------------Cann--------------------Attakora--------Hscanovics
    --------------------DeGuzman----------------LeBrocca------------------
    Santos--------------------------DeRosario-----------------------Barrett
    ----------------------------------Mista---------------------------------

If Daso has any spine, he benches DeRo for the next game. Two horrible give-aways when his whole team is pushed up for the equalizer.

^ And I doubt Cann is playing any more games this season, he has a broken nose.

Your formation doesn't work, next week mista is due for a pinky injury and then after that he's scheduled an upset stomach to finish off the year.

Mista got his last paycheck and jetted back to Europe, thanks for the 200 mins (ie 5,000$ per min)

PS I was a huge Mista fan until this game, but the road trip no-show is big evidence HE is the problem, not coaching staff

Due respect to everyone here but if anyone says de Guzman is not a talented player then they do not understand the sport.

He is a great player but he will never be a great MLS player. He does not have the type of game to ever be a true difference maker in this league. His style of play, his size and the physical nature of this league make him feel like a square peg in a round hole for TFC.

And the fact that he did not look like he even tried tonight, and I don't think he did, only makes it harder to swallow.

I really think that TFC will be telling him and his agent soon to start sniffing around back in Europe in the January window. Him and his contract will be poison for TFC fans next season, especially after these recent results and the way this season will end.

DeRo's also out due to yellow accumulation for the Clownbus game...

If DeRo really supports the team like a true captain should, we should get him in the supporters section for the game (if only some weren't calling for his head...)

DeRo is benched for the game due to yellow card accumulation.

With incompetent management and players who clearly don't give a damn, Toronto FC proving to be a consistent failure comes as no surprise. Eventually this will be reflected in the stands at BMO when the boys are playing in an empty stadium.

boring declaration followed by a complete refutation of that declaration

if he was truly a great player, he would be able to alter his style of play such that his strengths were maximized and his weaknesses minimized

oh wait he doesn't even tackle fuck right off

abso-fucking-lutely. Frei as the lone striker, supported by Cann, Gargan, etc., with Mista in goal. There's nothing to lose - they should defo do this - I'd love to see it !

Oh man, that would be a great idea.

At least we would see an entertaining game, something to remember!

Just so people understand, the rebound off the bar to Maicon and his missed shot would not have counted anyway as he was offside as was made clear on the broadcast!

I'm more inclined to bring up the lack of a call on the handball in the box, the offside call on DeRo that was at least two yards onside and of course the Alan Gordon uncalled Red for the elbow smash to Cann's nose forcing us to play a man down.

Instead of commenting something about tonight's game, I repeat what I responded to one post in the game thread in which was said "we (TFC) are back to square one":

Sorry my friend, you are wrong.
We are not back to square one, but we are still at square one.

TFC never ever left square one since it was founded in 2006

This "MLS is a more physical league than La Liga" thing is pure BS. MLS might avg maybe 1 inch and 5 lbs over La Liga but their players are also much faster and skilled. Were not talking an avg height increase of 1 foot and 50 lbs here.

A player that can handle Spain should be able to easily handle MLS ... if he cared to.

You mean the one where Barret missed on the ensuing easy shot anyway?
