    Default Blue Jays to hold pricing for 2011

    Jays Won't Raise Ticket Prices For 2011

    The Toronto Blue Jays will not increase ticket prices for the 2011 season. “We believe that we have made progress in 2010 and look forward to improving on this foundation in 2011,” stated Toronto Blue Jays President and CEO, Paul Beeston.

    “Our ticket prices in 2011 will remain the same as 2010 and we will continue to direct our efforts to improving the team and farm system with the goal of bringing a championship to Toronto.”

    “We have taken many steps forward this year, especially in Player Development and Scouting which is the back bone of our organization,” added Senior Vice President and General Manager, Alex Anthopoulos. “We will be relentless in fulfilling our commitment to Toronto – bringing the World Series Championship back to Canada!”

    “We have had great response from our season ticket holders this season about the direction the club is headed and we are encouraged by the brisk response from fans that have placed deposits for 2011 season tickets,” noted Vice President Ticket Sales and Service, Jason Diplock.

    OFFICIAL TORONTO BLUE JAYS MEDIA RELEASE

    Why the hell is MLSE raping us at the box office year after year.
    2011 = 100%+ increase for my seats since 2007.

    Extra games ? Concacaf Championship matches ?
    What happens if we don't qualify, is there a refund with interest paid?

    mentioned this elsewhere but the Jays significantly raised prices last year getting rid of "cheap seats" basically. no more twoonie tuesdays, higher priced low end tickets. The attendances this year showed the changes that had been made. Lets not only compare ourselves to things that are happening right now, we need some perspective. I like how the jays are going aout their rebuild, prices had dropped so low they'd become devalued and so they raised them last year so they would have a "real" value, and now they are gona hold the prices and hope for increased revenue through quantity of tickets sold. unlike us they could double their ticket revenue by being good, TFC couldn't. MLSE are a bunch of lying greedy assholes, but this jays thing really doesnt relate to us

    its a nice gesture, but as noted above, they really increased prices at the end of last season after trading away the face of the franchise.

    already covered in today's news.

    As its not TFC news, it doesn't deserve its own thread.
    MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
