I think this is a great chance to see if our team can make something of this season. I'm hoping to see some of ours at joes tomorrow. Same rules apply in my eyes as v Cruz. A draw there and a win here and we're cookin'.

    +1.
That's what it comes down to. Although if both squads field B squads, it could get ugly... lol
I could see RSL more likely to do so, since their focus is likely on MLS playoffs.

Now that Daso is in, hopefully he decides to play the first team instead of the scrubs.

hope so... he certainly has taken a long time to do that.
to speak in MLS terms, I want to see a 1.7 million De Guzman, not the 150K version.

I hope so. Last season there was virtually no change in the club's tactical approach or performance when Cummins relaced Carver. I think there will be a noticeable difference this time as Preki and Dasovic appear to have different coaching philosophies. It will be interesting to see if the talent level on the squad is good enough to earn results now that the shackles will be removed...

^ I have faith that Daso will open it up a bit, maybe play a 4-3-3, or at least send players up to attack late in games.

he had a pretty nice free flowing but fundamental style with the Canadian U-23s. Will Johnson played on that team. It was nice to watch.

This should be an interesting game, whatever the outcome.

I'll be interested to see if the players look more focused or upbeat, and what tactical differences there are on the pitch.

Moreso, I will be interested to see which Preki favourites aren't playing, and who is in for them instead.

Whoever Daso puts out, he might as well go balls out for goals & the win...

    Its a no lose situation...

We've been losing anyway, losing while playing passive, coward football...

Let the boys giv'r and see what happens...

If we still lose, what's the diff...???

I have a huge boner right now... I saw a team actually passing the ball... And connecting with them...

Hopefully Daso can get the guys doing that soon. I really do hope we hire him on as head for next season. A lot of people will probally give him shit if we dont do that well with him right now, but I think if we give him a fair chance, he will be a great coach.

My faith doesn't lie with Daso....It lies with the players. Daso can't do anything that MoJo(as head coach), Carver, Cummins or Preki haven't already tried....

Carts fuck I always say this if we lose, lose playing.. so with that said.
if we lose 3:2 or 5:2 shit it will be taken like a victory after the shit season that we had.
If we tie, I will make a run naked on the street.

If Preky wouldn't have been such a pussy in Panama and won that game and if RSL would have beat CA then a handshake would have suffice for both teams to advanced.

    But

    here we are.

As much as I think the players will run their asses off to make up for DC game and to play for Daso, I think the TFC jinx at Rio Tinto will continue

plus there is a reason why RSL is one of the best teams in MLS... their squad is virtually unchanged from last season...
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.

I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’

And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

The RSL crew on Big Soccer are expecting Real to play a lot of their scrubs tonight....So if Dasovic plays our best starting 11, perhaps we've got a shot...

We should start DeRo up top with Mista. I'm convinced that until we put DeRo in a place where solo production is often beneficial, he won't help our cohesion.

Plus, guy's our best goalscorer this year. A runner with a target guy; makes sense to me.

Dasovic was a holding midfielder in his playing days right? I really hope he doesn't play not to lose as well.

Hopefully they'll play positive football and make a statement! Here's hoping!
