It seems like just yesterday Mathis was the mohawked bad boy, now he's bald and slightly chubby. Mathis' career showed how small the window is to really achieve greatness at the highest levels, especially coming from North America.

Columbus and RSL are the two teams I envy most in MLS, they have strong, settled lineups, and they act rationally and prudently to plug gaps when the need arises.
