I just wish there were more criteria! It really makes the league more exciting! It's why our brand of the game is so marketable worldwide!

Not to sound harsh but I wouldn't protect DeRo. He may have a few years left in him but I couldn't see either Portland nor Van taking him.
Portland probably won't touch TFC as we have too many Canadians that would go against the 'foreign' quoto and Van has a pretty solid base of players already on their USL side. So, I can't see them going after many of our players.
Unlike TFC and Philly both of these expansion clubs are WELL established and have deep histories and even deeper benches to play with.

uhm yeah? barrett has 5 goals in regular season, plus couple on Voyageur Cup this season. 5 goals is all he scored in regular season last year...
