Default Red Bulls schedule friendly during WC group stages

    beyond lame...

RED BULLS HOST CRUZEIRO FRIDAY: The Red Bulls, who are tied for first place in the Eastern Conference in MLS play, return to game action for the first time since June 5 when they host famed Brazilian club Cruzeiro Esporte Clube in a friendly at Red Bull Arena on Friday, June 18 at 8:00 PM ET.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto

I am actually surprised TFC did not do this, look the world cup games are done by 4:30 most days, and with football on the minds of most, it could be a good time to attract people down to BMO. Look even the CSL has set up a game against a top division side from Brazil, who are also playing a select team in Calgary.

The Revs played Cruzeiro on Saturday evening.

Ralston broke his arm during the 3-1 loss.

And this is why I'm glad TFC didn't do this.

For friendlies, not a big deal if it is during the tournament. Chance for bench players to get a run out.

Would be a different story if they actually conflicted time-wise with the WC games, but they don't.

What does that have to do with the scheduling time?

Nothing about the time -- I just mean I'm glad we don't have any extra, additional friendlies aside from the Carlsberg cup (which I'm still not thrilled about).

Because how many is this for NY? Their third already?
