Carver has raised the bar significantly this year, and a draw at home, at least for me is just as stinging as a defeat, though hard work and true effort on TFCs part can turn a draw into something to be proud of and celebrate

Made a similar point in the match thread.

We all want the best for TFC but success won't be arrived at overnight; nor will it be a journey without its potholes along the way. Games like these you hope the team (Carver included re: team selection) learn from.

We're making progress. As frustrating as games like today are, hopefully we use the disappointment of not playing well today psychologically to spur us onto a few wins.

It's all in how we react to games like today.

That particular game yesterday was 3 points that we could pocket easily and Carver screwed it.
Every great manager make mistakes and hopefuly Carver will learn from it.
The only player that could make a difference if he started yesterday was Guevara.
Gullit is a manager that managed big teams at a very high level like Chelsea, Newcastle, Feyenoord and he doesn't have a policy like Carver where he bunch his best players when they come back from international games just because his team win games without them....do you think he will do that to Beckham? It will be crazy.
Guevara is our Beckham and the only excuse that I can accept for him not playing is " Injury" If he is not injured he should play regardless how the team did without him in the past.
2 points are very important in the standings and those two points that Carver threw through the window can come back and haunt him at the end of the season for a playoff position.
Carver keep saying that he will field the best 11 on game day but yesterday the bench played better in the last 30 minutes then his starting eleven did in the first 60 minutes.
You can tell that he made a big screw up yesterday by making 3 substitutions by the 60th minute and it wasn't because of an injury or fatigue.
Just a side note to see that managers play their best players. Houston last night started Onstad even if the night before he played the full 90 with CMNT.

We have a schedule that could get quite a bit more congested in the weeks ahead. Not fair to bash Carver for trying to keep morale high among the entire squad by giving time to players other than starters.

On paper, this looked like an ideal game to run out the squad that beat Colorado. Out on the plastic, KC constantly kept a fifth player in front of their defence and weren't afraid to drop sixth player back.

If we didn't look sharp, blame it on top players away from practice playing international games. It wasn't a disaster, not worth all the moaning. If that's us looking as bad as we can, it's going to be a helluva year.
