press release http://www.montrealimpact.com/News/N...px?language=EN
WHAT?????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????
Damn..... if Montreal can get FIORENTINA AND AC MILAN, we better get something damn good. I honestly can't think of two teams in world football that I would want to see more than those two, except for Udinese. lol
Well if you go to Italy for your Training Camp.. and have great Italian ties.. (thanks Trane) .. than.. well all the best to score a goal
Right in the middle of their hectic May schedule.
Nice.
I am not big on friendlies. BUT I would have to watch this. FORZA MILAN. Roma would also be nice, Roma is rumoured to be very aggresive on the martket in the summer.
That's awesome for Montreal.
...but don't forget that neither team will have any World Cup players in their squads at that time. No doubt what's left is still pretty impressive - and that effects Fiorentina less than Milan - but I'd rather see a big club pre-season or not at all than see them this summer with less than half of their squads.
The Fiorentina game is the 23rd, not the 22nd. I may try and go to that game since we play on Saturday.

Man we like to complain... We complain when we get Real Madrid and now we complain that we don't get Fiorentina and AC Milan. These games are going to be played during a busy stretch and at the Big Uh-Oh.
I can only imaging the bitching that would have gone on if TFC front office announce 2 friendlies in the middle of a busy patch and at Skydome...
To be completely honest, I wasn't so fussed about Real Madrid. The only reason I'd have gone would have been to see Kaka, and in any case, I'm pretty sure he didn't even move to Real until the tickets were already all sold...
Now if it had been Barcelona, that would have been a completely different story.
Not trying to point a finger at anyone in particular... just a general observation
Oh sorry... I posted this info in Canadian Soccer area and the AC Milan thread in International thread area.
Didn't see what it had to do with TFC or MLS for that matter.
Ticket prices are between $20-$100.
Well, when you've already had Real Madrid at your stadium, you can't really take a step down to AC Milan
Montreal has the advantage that they can rent the Big O for a lot less than we can get Rogers Centre. Supply and demand ... oh, and being the same landlord as Saputo Stadium doesn't hurt ...
Off hand I can't remember a single sporting event at the Big O since the Impact game there over a year ago.
Ticket prices will range between $20 and $100 (plus taxes). First category ticket holders ($100) will get privileged access to attend the AC Milan training session, June 1, at Saputo Stadium.
(Take note TFC front office....valued ticket pricing.)
How many Fiorentina and AC Milan players will be at the World Cup. This will be their second team going there, but congrats to Montreal on getting to quality teams.
Better teams AND better prices than we have ever seen.
I question why I give TFC my money more and more every day.
wait, i thought TFC fans complained last year about having friendlies?
i personally don't care. Enough with the friendlies bullshit and focus on the league, I say.
I didn't go to Real Madrid last year and don't feel I missed something because I didn't go.
I wonder if Fiorentina and Milan will play eachother in Toronto in between the Montreal games.

Apparently the SkyDome is going to have a soccer game on May 25?

Another summer of hope!
