How many players do we need?

According to the TFC website we have 18 players + the 2 signed today. When the rules state we can carry up to 24 plus 2 "home grown" players for a total of 26 roster spots, DO we have have enought players to challenge players at every position and cover injuries? 3 of those players are GK! Can someone make me feel better?
