Default NYRB 1 at New England 1

This was not the most exciting game that I've seen. Reminded me of the TFC/NYRB game - it looked like light rain on the pitch, but hard to tell. Stadium seemed sparsely attended. Steve Nicol having a conniption on the sideline in the first half - NYRB playing their normal chippy game. New England carried the play for the first twenty minutes, then the chippiness started. NYRB 10 fouls in the first half to the Revs 2. NYRB scored to take the lead in the first. Nicol's halftime interview was classic - stopped just short of saying that he was tired of the NYRB shite!

Chippy play swung sides in the second half, with New England seeming to hand it right back. Rolston scored to tie it. Phelan came in late but was hardly noticeable. Goldthwaite and Boyens on the backline for the NYRB, both played physical, Goldthwaite could have been carded a couple of times. Announcers were funny (Greg Lalas) questioning and second guessing fouls all night long, commenting on the inconsistency of the rookie ref. Also said that Boyens was traded by TFC to NY when he couldn't cut the Toronto line up - I thought he went there on his own.

1-1 result probably not too bad for TFC.

The tie is good, keeps NE from getting even farther ahead and keeps the SB honest.

    The East is looking TIGHT!

DC has snuck up with a few wins and is now nipping at the heels of a playoff spot.

TFC needs to keep up the good form and start picking up points away from home.

if they play decent football they should come out of Boston with 3 the revs looked lost at home...Revs manager Nichol was not impressed by the rookie offical, he blasted him or attemted to before his smarts got the better of him.

I've got a funny feeling that 10 out of 14 teams will finish within 3 games of .500 this year.

Every point is huge already, and we're not even half way through
