Toronto FC drubbed in New England

"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

Thanks for stepping up. I was looking for this earlyer. Makes us realize how vital of a role it truly is.
    Thanks again.

Elephant in the room. None of the above so-called journalists are saying what needs to be said: MLSE has utterly failed with this team. They're not fit to run it.

It took up until today when I went and re-watched some of the game highlights for me to concede that Nick Garcia has absolutely no place on the team.

I think I was really hoping things would turn around for the guy, but Paul James was exactly right with these remarks:

In regards to Nick Garcia it is tough to not feel for him after another costly mistake. However this is the professional level and so there is no room for sentimentality. For all the tough decisions Preki has made so far, the insistence on playing Garcia is now glaringly weak. How many more mistakes will it take before Garcia is replaced?
The fact that all we get from Preki is excuse after excuse when it comes to Garcia is becoming incredibly frustrating. What we sometimes tend to forget as supporters is the fact that the players themselves know very well indeed how they and the others on their squad are doing. I wouldn't be surprised if Garcia has become a pariah in the locker room now for his dreadful performances. Could we be looking at the same situation as last year with volatility between players coming to a head?

    What a joke

It would really be great if Domin8r would do a midday and a nightly TFC news recap, every day, from now on.

Cash, you're kidding right? Garcia has been shit since he came to us last year. I swear he must have dirt on Preki, how else to explain why he's still playing?

p.s. The first half was amazing.

WTF is Preki talking about when he says that it has been a trend here to hang heads when scored against, and to not play 90 minutes?

He's cleaned house to the extent that no trends from last year could possibly continue.
DeRo was the only starter who played any significant amount of minutes last year, and from the bench there was De Guzman, Cronin, Barrett and Gala.

Which one of those guys is he referring to?

^^The team's fucked from top to bottom, that's really all there is to it. The coach has no accountability because the GM has no credibility and put together a team that probably couldn't hack it in the USL.

Agreed!! I couldn't believe what he was saying -- he cleaned house because he wanted a different mentality and now he's blaming history - next it'll be the water!! He's the coach, not the past!

Am i missing something is TFC even able to play right now? Are they inline with MLS Roster rules? Don't we have to carry 7 Canadians and 13 internationals? Right now we only have 5 don't we? and there are 23 players on the roster now, (max being 26 now iirc)

So aren't we violating some rules thanks to the removal of Gerba, Serioux and Brennan?

I feel bad for Nane. Bad passes happen, and so do weak giveaways.
He had less giveaways than Barrette (who gave away his first position)
but obviously Nane's was in a much worse spot. Anywya, I can live
with those mistakes happening, but not with Garcia's continual shit.
