Question that is unrelated to grass in any way:

What lens/Camera combination are you using to have such strong vignetting, or are you adding that after in pp?

cheers, thanks. It's a backup really, and a lesson learned after my photos of the White Kit were passes all around.

I'm putting it on after in PS. Why? just so it looks a bit different than a boarding point-and-shoot.

That's gotta be fake vignetting. Too rectangular.

Haha, fair enough. I figured it was something like that (since most of your pics have the same effect) I just thought I'd ask.

True, I just didn't want to come right out and say "that's fake" because some people might get offended. You know how it is.

will this "fresh as day" surface be good to go for the home opener?

    I hope its not a pock-marked mess after 30 minutes (ala L'impact)

Thanks MLSE for allowing more fans to watch Garcia and the gang stink it up on the pitch this season. We see where your priorities were this off season.

the grass will be fine for game day.

    - BMO has a state of the art heating system for the grass.
    - newly install and properly calibrated irrigation
    - world class drainage (USGA calibre)
    - a couple of the top companies involved in the Turf and Sportsfield game are installing.
    - Mother Nature is on their side, weather isn't forecasting any colder than today for the next 2 weeks.
    - some well timed Nitrogen Fertilizer and the field will be super green.

I never thought I'd see this day.
