Nice idea, Skint, but the cost is high to run an ad. Also, while the reach is great with Metro (lots of people) for the idea to work you need frequency (multiple ads). That's why you see the same shit on TV (and in papers) all the time. It's not enough to hit someone once; you need to do it a lot before it registers with people. Sad, but true, particularly in this day and age when there are so many different ad venues.

Looked like about $1,590 for 1/4 page ad one time. Only Metro ad website I can find is out of the US but it is the magazine for GO Transit (at least they list it) http://www.metro-magazine.com/t_advert.cfm I don't know if it is good bang for the buck.

Wonder how many good flyers we could do up for that price and hand out around the stadium to raise awareness.

This is an amazing set of designs. I love the idea of a common shirt but personalized to each supporters group.

This is a joint project between all TFC Supporter groups and was posted on all boards at the same time:

A number of people have given me contact information for suppliers, and some suppliers have also contacted me. Once we finalize the design we'll get quotes from as many suppliers as possible and start collecting money for the shirts. The shirts will be as low-cost as possible with any proceeds going towards getting the message out in other ways. The shirts are just a part of the overall message.

DEADLINE: We'll give it until Monday at Midnight for all designs to be submitted - then vote on the designs from there.

Anyone willing to contribute in anyway is welcome to. Selling & Distributing the shirts will require a number of people.

I seriously suggest against "personalizing" the shirts with supporter group logos.

it will drive up cost unnecessarily.

    just my 2 cents

That SOSSS up there should have SO in white and SSS in red. The text needs to match the anacronym.

sss is a fantastic idea and i love the artwork
but this is a fight and i think all supporters groups
    should get together on this
one voice one shirt one protest -- all for one

We are. I'm not sure why everyone assumes that just because it's on the RPB board it's not on any other boards.

And on that note, I hope this and other designs are getting floated on the NEE and U-Sector forums as well. It'd be nice to bring everyone in on the process.

Are you just saying that to piss me off?
    Cause it's working!

Okay - since you're an Ottawa Senators fan I'll assume you're not doing it on purpose, it's just the way you are.

Nice ideas going on here, i agree that the TFC logo and the fact taht we want a soccer specific stadium is key, it might be a good time to protest or wave banners etc at the montreal and vancouver games as it might get some more attention. Even see if some of their fan organizations would be willing to get on board.

I was going to suggest some sort of black arm band that we could have made up or even if we just masses of people to wear them to a game, get some cheap black fabric and hand it out to fans before the games for everyone to wear on one arm... donno its not a great idea but i think it could work and it could be cheap on a large scale

im sure if we organized a stadium-wide boycot on purchasing any alcohol at a game it would definately send a message.... it would definately hit their back pocket (but i cant see it happening even though it would be effective)
