To someone who doesn't visit these boards regularly, what is "SSS"?
In my opinion, if you have to explain it, or if you have to be close enough to read the smaller print, the message is lost.
As for the logos...yeah, I think you're reaching there. We're not saving the world here.

I think it shouldn't be too offensive to the Argos.
Personally, I think the message should be obvious to a passer by. Someone who has no clue why we're wearing the shirts.

It's alright - the ideas don't have to be perfect or polished. We can clean up the winning design later. Good eye though - are you an undercover CFL agent?
What about a gaint soccer net squashing a set of football endzont posts, where the posts are laying on the ground looking like the wicked which of the east after Dorthy's Kansas house got on top of her....
Or another idea is a big soccer net with fieldgoal posts ...with two TFC players climbed up the net cutting down the fieldgoal posts.... That could be cool.
Well I was brought up to know we play with big balls up here...naturally size is the first thing I see when I see a football.....maybe I'm compensating for something.

Soccer Specific Stadium
A few really cool designs. I think it was brought up in another thread, and reiterated above by RealG-TFC, that there is no need to specifically target the Argos: it should be about the sport, not the team.
The shirt with the football is cool, as is the one with the drawing of the soccer pitch (...not sure the designer was being serious, but I like the inherent humour.)
I think it's a very good design... and I support the logos 100% It shows that we are all on this... and our strenghts as supporters... let's face it we are different from Maple Leaf Fans, Raptors, etc.... we need to let the public know that we are organized and not to take us lightly - whether we are NEE, RPB, or Usector!

having done the Sack The CSA shirts and having a good friend in the Shirt printing biz, I am more than happy to help get this going with you.
Here's my 2 cents....
a) keep the artwork simple and big. try to stick with 2 colours at most or else the cost of individual silk screens gets ridiculous.
b) volume drives down prices big time. If we can get 1000 shirts, we might be able to do a shirt for around $5.00 (sell it for $6.00 or $7.00 and donate the proceeds to after cost to charity).
c) try to limit the number of locations you print on the shirt. It adds to cost big time, which is why I ended up losing money on the shirts. I decided to add the CSSU logo on the sleeve, which added almost $1.00 in total to my cost after paying for the extra screen. Not worth it at the end of the day.
If I think of anything else, i'll post it.

Actually SOS would be amazing - 'Save or Stadium' it would easily get your point across in Icon format as well as Key Messaging. This is the way to go in my opinion. Can someone mock this up?
Also: Can someone get a quote for 10,000 T's - I would be curious to see the price. (Gobi?)
Why 10,000 - Start a fundraiser and hand out the T's with chant sheets at the time of the event with an explanation for other 'football' fans.

I know people have decided the tshirt route is the way to go. What about taking out a one time ad in Metro. The transit paper. Lots of people read it, lots of people get to BMO on the train. It could be used to both educate the public as to why they should be concerned and educate them as to what they can do about it?
My buddy would be more than happy to supply 10,000 shirts but someone's going to have to be prepared to fork out the $30K to $40K up front to make it happen.
Honestly, I'd suggest being somewhat less ambitious. I could see 2000 shirts being sold at a price of less than $10 each but above that is a stretch but I'd be happy to be wrong.
Once I get a final design from you guys, I'll get you pricing.
