morning d'
every win was a clean sheet
So, week 1 in the books and looking at the standings depending if your a half full or half empty type of person, we are tied for 4th or tied for last !
I did now it MONDAY all Ready!
In Jim Brennan's post game interview posted on the TFC website, he makes a sarcastic comment to a reporter off camera...I wonder who that reporter was and what prompted the comment. Any ideas?
Note to Brennan: If a sports writer wrote a critical piece on the state of the team, immediately following a loss isn't the best time to call him out.
Who is this Wolstat who writes for the Sun?
What a twat!
I'm not disputing that, I'm questing his timing. If you watch the clip, he kinda goes out of his way to get his dig in. He's not responding to or defending against comments made at the time, he's chosen that time to bring up something written/said in the (recent) past - chosing that time/place to do that seemed odd to me.

Two awesome goals by Javier Morales. This guy is out to prove that last season when he sucked was fluke
“Years have gone by and I’ve finally learned to accept myself for who I am: a beggar for good football.
I go about the world, hand outstretched, and in the stadiums I plead: ‘A pretty move, for the love of God.’
And when good football happens, I give thanks for the miracle and I don’t give a damn which team or country performs it.”

wow 2016 and things are looking up --- come on you reds lets go
I don't know if I'd say he "sucked" last year. But it was definitely Beckerman who was carrying the middle. Morales still had a decent amount of goals-assists. It was kind of comparable to what Guevara did for us last season.
He failed by his own high standards, but wasn't exactly bad.

Its still on there (at least I can see it)...he's talking about negative press and says "people are writing stuff about us" then he turns to someone off camera and says "right bud?" in a snide kind of way - drawing attention to whoever wrote the article and put him on the spot.
It's not a major incident, just a sarcastic comment but it struck me as odd.
I'm just curious of the context of it all...I wonder who the reporter was and what article he was referencing - odds are we've read it, just wondering what in particular seems to have gotten under Jimmy B's skin.

Sunshine girl is a handsome woman today! TFC news.... not so much
if it's Wheeler Brennan's talking to then Brennan's sarcasm is perfectly warranted.
I don't see anything from wheeler on the Sun website either. Not since the thinly veiled threat to stop writing about the team. I was kinda hoping he would too. Quit writing that is.
http://www.examiner.com/x-38691-Toro...us-not-all-badDefenders panicking even when they have time, forward pairings making bad choices because they didn’t expect their partner to show, a midfield playing quickly over the top to no one at the first sign of pressure, an inability to carry out the tactical plan. In short, Saturday’s first kick match.
And that one, without insufferable damage, is behind us.
The coach has been talking all along about being patient – often in the same breath proclaiming it has been a long preseason – and most people who care about the long haul are doing just that. What is bothersome though is it was also a long off season and it should not have come to this.
"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

I think he was the difference between us getting some points and not. He recovered very well on two or three occasions when mere mortals wouldn’t have got there.”

They love that he recovered now, but they'll soon hate the fact that he gets caught out on two or three occasions."He recovered very well on two or three occasions when mere mortals wouldn’t have got there.”
