I'm optimistic for that too.

Look at it this way - while we are lean up front, we were lean up front last year too. O'Brien White is no worse of an option than a Gerba or a Barrett up front. In the long term we need more depth, but for one game? Who knows. Obie had some flashes of brilliance last season.

Our midfield has more depth than last season, JDG has had a full pre-season to get settled in and shaped up, and DeRo is hopefully at 100% again.

Our defense is sketchy at best, but hopefully the coaching of Preki will have them playing more organized than they ever did under Carver or Cummins.

I think Columbus are the favourites to take the three points from this game, but it isn't like upsets never happen.

I saw Preki on Soccer Central today talking about the Crew like they were the team to beat in MLS and quite honestly he's right. I just hope our guys in Columbus don't get too much air time on TV, Im sure they will pan plenty to the TFC fans but in a negative way, scanning crowd for anyone with their face in their hands.
