PU (open), CLB (finale), HOU (canada day/weekday), maybe NY because of JPA and the CNE?. Random guess for the 5th game (RSL because they are the champs?).

    guess of course.

****yep, it's the away games that they are in NY and CHI on a weekday. NYRB (weekday), CHI (weekday).
****i should really check the schedule before writing. NY and RSL play back to back weekends, so i'll pick the 7pm start during the CNE vs RSL as a premium, so NYRB would likely not be a premium.

^^^ Both the NYRB and CHI home games are on the weekend. Also, not sure about season finale. It would make sense to me, but for some reason I don't think it was last year. Would have to check my tickets though as my memory is muddy...

Whatever. Throw premium darts at your premium dartboard. I wish they'd just average it out.

I have never understood the concept of premium games in MLS. Other than Beckham and local derbies (of which we have none other than perhaps Montreal), to the common supporter who cares whether we play NYRB or RSL at home? And Columbus does not count as a local derby.

The concept is simple - they name some games "premium" and can add a few bucks to the tickets...

There's always huge demand for the opener - add a few bucks...

In season-1, the final home game was another rush for tickets for 'one last chance' to see the team - add a few bucks...

Beckham - add a few bucks...

Columbus is close & may bring in some fans - add a few bucks...

However, you can look at the glass as half-full or half-empty... Call the premium ticket prices 'regular' and think of all the other games as 'discounts'...

    Carts...

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the marketing and the maximization of revenues; doesn't mean I agree with it, at least not in MLS.

In the past it has been home opener and closer, plus visiting teams that had a DP (unless DB was away at Milan for the LAG game). Don't know if they will be doing the same this season or not (well, home opener and closer almost certainly will be, as will LAG if golden balls is back from Milan and/or the WC, btu they may fiddle with the rest, who knows).

Try calling your ticket rep - they have given this info to me freely in the past once it was decided.
