I think Mista hurt his knee and/or was injured hence the lost production.
Here is a great history on Mista

Nicknames: Sean Penn, Popeye
could the other fella be palermo as previously mentioned?
Mista looks trial-worthy. My only concerns are his fading motivations not being in Spain where he turned down other european options in order to stay there, and possible nagging injury issues mentioned in the article that appeared to cement his end in La Liga. At his age those are harder to escape
OBW has looked horrible lately, so i would welcome giving this guy a shot, since we are so thin up front.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
as long as he's looking forward to playing on a different continent, in a different style league of players and play. I trust preki if he believes this guy is excited and wants to shine in a new era of his career - assuming he's signed.
Seems odd that he's worked so hard to stay and play in la liga and now appears in MLS, no?
re above: yup. but i would be thrilled if he came in a raised the playing bar and helped us to some more wins en route to the championship won here on home pitch.
sure - why not. the team has done pretty well considering how they started and all - but a breath of something fresh would be a useful lift right now as they appear to have hit a bit of a plateau.
we really need some creative quality up front and on the wing...or maybe i'm watch too much Spain, Argentina and Brazil...
SPOKE TOO SOON!!!
DE GUZ @ DEPOR
wow, dude's ugly. anyway, as long as he's ready to work and not think he'll automatically tear this league a new one just because he used to play in Spain, then I'm optimistic. Hopefully him and Barrett can work well up front.
Someone had said that the announcement was happening, and it doesnt look like thats the case. When DeGuz was announced, a day or two in advanced they had called the press conference to announce his signing. They would likely have done the same thing, especially since it may be difficult to get sports reporters on a moments notice, on Canada Day.
It would not be hard to get the sports media of Toronto today when they already will be at BMO for the game anyways.

Expect the Lamport public parking lot to be blockaded again.
too bad i was really hoping that mista was going to play today
so I just watched this is football, and Mo mentioned bringing players in on the 15th. So is that when some kind of transfer window becomes open and the earliest any signing can become official and play for us?
