RED PATCH BOYS
As long as he's better than some of the muppets in our defence now...I dont care if he wears womens lingerie, covers himself in Jello and sings zippidee-do-dar while hanging from the CN tower. Do the job...the rest doesnt mean anything!
^ now that'd be something to see! LOL
From the sit down with DeRo... "I'm getting money that's alright, I don't think it's what I deserve..." Gees, enough already. 400k is a little more than alright for MLS. Do you deserve DP money, no, no you don't and everyone is tired of hearing you complain about it. sorry, rant over...
Those Sportsnet links aren't working.
MLS is a tough, physical league, that emphasizes speed, and features plastic fields, grueling travel, extreme weather, and incompetent refs. - NK Toronto
Saied... Wiki entry... could this be the antics?
After claiming his mother was very sick, he returned home after only a short stay at Everton. It has been claimed this was an excuse to go back to compete in a local derby for the team he supported.
Signing sounds promising...

He was also a member of TFC for a brief while in season 1...Former Chivas USA midfielder Paulo Nagamura has signed with Tigres UNAL of the Mexican First Division, the MLS club announced Tuesday.

I can understand people not liking him complaining about the money, but I am interested in knowing how this can be a detriment to the club?
Roogs, I hope I'm wrong, but at some point this may spill over into the locker room and cause a rift if his teamates feel the same way about his salary complaints and that would undoubtedly affect the club's play on the pitch. Some RPB's were worried about this after JDG signed last season and I didn't read too much into it at the time but it's obviously become an issue as far as DeRo's concerned...
I think we're forgetting we are dealing with fellow professional players as opposed to us fans. Every player in that locker room knows that when it comes to contracts, you go out and get every penny possible. So complaining about the contract will not likely cause a rift. How would it spill into the locker room? What issue would another player have with Dwayne playing hard-ball when they do it themselves as well? Rarely do you see negotiation issues affecting other players. It doesn't happen in other sports, you won't see it here. More often than not, what gets affected is the relationship between the club and the athlete, not the relationship between the players.
The reason the JDG signing was feared to cause issues in the locker room wasn't because of his amount of his salary but rather because of DeRo's negotiations with the club and the issues therein.

"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports
