Sad to hear, no more high-scoring predictions at every match. RIP

Holy Fack!!!
Our kids used to share a practice field last year so I'd see him on occasion.
The guy was absolutely the same character you'd see on TV...Great guy...Great sense of humour...
As a matter of fact a couple of weeks ago I bumped into him by chance (during a youth soccer tourney in Woodbridge) at a restaurant. We talked about TFC, the National squad and his kids...The guy was funny, friendly and larger than life...He will be missed...
legend, will miss his analysis and character

Gone before his time.

I did make fun of his delivery and the way he covered the game but I did really enjoy watching him on the show. He will be missed.
Very sad news.
We met him in our local pub. What a great character. He chatted to you like he knew you. Full of soccer information.
A great loss to the "soccer family".
Had the pleasure of playing indoor footie against him many times in the old days..He was a great lad! Cheers Budgie..Rest in peace!
Truly sad day. He was a great character. Canadian soccer could use more like him.
There should be a banner in his honour at the next TFC game.
RIP BUDGIE
Im an ignorant englishman, I never grew up with this guy and don't really know who he is, although I'm sure I'd recognise him, if he was a presenter on the score.
Having read a lot about him this last hour, I am convinced that this Toronto character, and football legend deserves some kind of tribute on Saturday, not unlike the kind of tribute Tommy Burns got around the UK (and here) recently.
Is there no image of the man on the entire web?

RIP Budgie, I definitely think some type of tribute is in order.
Truly a loss. RIP Bud. You will be missed.
May god bless his soul!
Yes I agree for sure. Armbands would be a real class touch.
Toronto 'til I die although still a Leeds fan at heart...
Arm bands is a must. Brian was a Canadian soccer icon. I think we(rpb) have to help usector or make or own banner for budgie.
RIP... A very sad day.
I thought this guys opinions were utter shit, but he was a member of the community. And did amazing things for Canadian soccer
R.I.P
I recommend that we do something to commemorate him at the next game - anyone with a contact at TFC should see if we can coordiante something.
Anyone who watches the sport in this country knew him - Rest in Peace -you will be missed.

canadian footie could use more of him.....RIP BB
Hope they do a minutes silence before the match on Saturday.
Didn't he broadcast from the bunker during last years Houston game?
I also had the chance to have a brew with him. Was at a sports pub on Yonge st. N of Wellesly about 5-6 months ago with my girlfriend when he walks in. I'm like telling my GF who he is, he walks by, i stick my hand out, I'm like "Budgie" he stops shakes my hand and sits at my table. Has a drink with us talking footie the whole time. Nice guy. I'm shocked, so young.
