Post Rumour: Donovan to Play in Mexican League in 2010

    Donovan iría al América
    Las Aguilas confirmaron su interés

"Failure simply isn't an option at this stage. TFC pushed its chips to the middle of the table when it splurged on Bradley and Defoe and reinforced its bet by making savvy acquisitions elsewhere. This collection of players is capable of delivering on the promises made during the close season. There are no more excuses available for TFC. Only success will continue the process of atoning for the past and establishing a higher standard for the future." FOX Sports

For those that don't understand. The article basicially says that Donovan could be going to America (the Mexican team) for the 2010 season. Sounds like a rumour right now as neither party has confirmed it.

He's also apparnatly having off season surgery, no idea whether he would be ready to go by the beginning of the season anyways.

    Kind of interesting.
As a member of the different Sports Turf Associations etc, I get lots of symposium invites.

MLSE and TFC and BMO are featured at one of the biggest industry symposiums.
The agenda just arrived on my desk this morning.

Very interesting that BMO and the Real Madrid game are major focuses.

I really like Guevara, too, although he did "disappear" in some games last year. There is no way Preki would tolerate his inconsistency. In the choice between Guevara and Preki, i would take Preki. We need a good coach way better than yet another midfielder.

    Interesting...

that is one pretty industry-specific seminar.

I don't know if you guys will be interested in that news since it's not TFC related and maybe it's been posted elsewhere already but Vancouver Whitecaps just appointed Paul Barber (Tottenham's Executive Director) as the team's CEO

Post TFC Players Follow Fitness Program

    Paul Winsper Interview

Toronto FC Strength and Conditioning Coach Paul Winsper talks about the work the players will do to maintain fitness during the off-season.

    http://torontofc.neulion.com/tfc/con...atid=2&id=1479

Now that the grass is coming in, it's interesting how everyone associated with the team is now coming clean about how bad the turf has been at BMO.

His comment about having to reduce time on the field by 40% due to the physical stress caused by the FieldTurf is particularly telling.

hes the only decent midfielder we have...TFC should have protected him..
Brennan or Barrett could have been unprotected..TFC may regret this decision next season.

Yeah, the guy was pretty adamant about how poor it was to train and keep up on the turf.

I'm gonna admit it, but I really didn't see the artificial pitch being that much of a disadvantage for our guys. Looks like getting it outta BMO Field was a lot more important that I ever thought.

    1. I think what we will see in the 4-4-2 is DeRosario linedup beside DeGuzman.

    2. I wonder if Preki will move Jim Brennan to Left Winger and give playing time to Fuad Ibrahim at RW. Both could be decent at that position but not neccessarily reliable.

    3. Mark my words, I dont think we will see Marvell Wynne back with the team in 2010. He will be trade bait for Cameron Weaver. Attakora will fill the Right Back position.

    4. 4-4-2:

    -----------------------------------Frei-----------------------------------
    ------------------------------------?------------------------------------
    Attakora-----------Serioux-------------------?--------------------Fellinga
    ---?---------------Harmse----------------Gomez---------------------Gala
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Ibrahim------------DeRosario-------------DeGuzman---------------Brennan
    ---?-------------------?-------------------Cronin---------------------?--
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    --------------------Barrett---------------White--------------------------
    -----------------------?--------------------?----------------------------

Pretty sure Brennan is playing from the bench this year, i think we should expect at least two wingers, natural wingers, to come to our team.

also Harmse doesnt play for us anymore
