Can anyone explain the massive difference between Wynne and Edu's base and compensated values? Generation Adidas?

I can't believe we have over $740 000 invested in Marshall, Robinson, and Cunningham.

Get rid of all three and get a DP striker and another midfielder.

steal on Guevera, Ricketts hasn't shown he's worth that much yet, Cunny is making way too much for his production.

The base salaries of the above players (excluding developmental players) total $2,498,501. Now, that is above the cap, but at least a few salaries on our team are offset by allocation signings, Generation Adidas contracts, and the like. I guess what I'm trying to ask is this: how are we going to keep ALL of the above players on our roster when our allocation money and GA contracts expire? This would seem to be a very relevant question to ask for next year.

Wynne and Edu are no longer on Generation Adidas. Paul Beirne told me this in email months ago.

hopefully the cap raises (or we get sufficiant allocations), ya gotta imagine some of those guys will be gone (retirement for Dichio etc)

i remember reading that contracts often have "team option" for the third and fourth years. So a guy like Robinson could be guaranteed for the first two seasons (2007,2008) but not for the further years. Some teams will use this as an opportunity to renegotiated the contract downward in years 3 and 4.
I could see Dichio hanging around a few more seasons as a backup at a lower price. Robinson too.

But really they only need to get through the next season and then surely things will change. The 2009 season is the last one under the current agreement.

Are you insane? OK, Cunny, yes. Unless if we doubled the salary cap next season, but Marshall and Robbo? No way!
    We need them!

I'm guessing 13 grand doesn't go very far in the T dot. Kudos to the players who are doing it cause they love the game.

    Guervara is a bargain...
    Robert is worth every penny...
Ricketts needs to show he's worth that...
    Dichio is worth his contract...
Sutton (the way he's played) is a deal...
Tebily needs to prove his worth...
Wynn is a steal if only $47k goes against the cap - A STEAL!
    Marshall is worth his coin...
Edwards (if Sutton misses time with Canada) will really earn every penny of his $47k...

    Carts...

the way Marshall has played, I think he's earning his 150K.
Velez's price versus performance is good.. certainly 60K for him is better than around 100K for Reda or 70-something for Braz.

    1. Wonder if Guevera's lower than expected salary is on account of his all-too-many absences (and if he goes to the olympics as an over-age rep for Honduras he should be docked further)

    2. Hemming ($17k) & Harmse ($72k) should swap salaries

I suspect (as has been speculated elsewhere) that part of Guervara’s salary has been off set by an allocation or some such thing. It’s suspicious that it’s listed as exactly 100K less than what it had been previously reported as being.

The cap has gone up more than I expected. I thought we had only 2.3M to work with, but I'll take your word for it.

When did this happen? The last we heard they voted for a very modest increase between this year and last.

And for 300k in this league you better be a stand out performer.

Amado only comes cheap because he is not European and therefore not overrated in terms of his actual impact. He is by far the best player on our team and it showed when he was missing on Sunday.

Carl Robinson should swap salaries with Amado Guevara.... I'm still puzzled why Robinson rakes it in? Dunivant can do what Robinson does, and so much cheaper!
