Let's hope he gets a chance to prove his worth over Harmse.

Good move. Hemming has a bright future and could be useful with all these internationals going on.

I think we are going to see some people come and go.
    Ill venture Dunny and Cunny.
Dunno why (especially as Dunny is good to have around).

/\ Exactly the reason why. His versatility is what makes him appealing to other teams. What we need is allocation, and a good striker to use that money on. Or just take a shot into the dark with a DP

If we are missing Edu, I want to see Hemming start ahead of Harmse. I am not a big fan.

I like. I was always impressed with performance when he played. He's still fairly young, so he has some upside...

Great to hear! He should play always over Harmse. I've never liked the guy's abilities - er... things that he does on the pitch.

    Harmse is a thug.

Did you see his black eye at the LA game?

Last player to play with a black eye, was gone before the sun rose next day.

Gonna get roasted on this but, I gotta say, I feel bad for him. Does anyone else see him comming back as additional trade bait with cunningham for a quality striker? I know we may loose Edu soon the the Premiership, but were really deep as far as midfield goes. Just my humble opinion...

you mean you think we would trade him? Not a chance. We waived him before. That means we gave up his rights, and any other team could sign him for free (I think NYRB had him on trial, didn't they?). How do you figure a team is going to now trade something to get what they could have for free?

Plus, they would need to use an international, and they don't have as many internationals as we do to throw around.

I just saw him being brought back as a piece to sweeten the package to ship cunningham out.

I think we traded Phelan for Hemming.

I think the Phelan trade was done only once Hemming was re-signed. We didn't get much for Phelan.

I really don't know why people think Hemming is "the future" and "a prospect".

He's the older than Edu and Wynne and only 10 months younger than Harmse.

That's not prospect age... that's "now" age. I see him as a long-term bench player who will add depth, but I don't see him breaking into the starting 11 on a regular basis.

I'd love to see him step in and do well, but I'm not holding my breath.

You may have misunderstood what I meant. I wasn't saying that I think Harmse is better than Hemming, quite the opposite actually. Apologies if you actually did get it and I was the one who misunderstood your reply.

Ya, I'm with you on this one. I see him heading out with cunningham. I do agree however that he would be a nice replacement to Harmse if he were to stay on.

i've always seen him as a supersub kind of guy. Last year i liked him ahead of Poz because he can do what Poz does at a fraction of the price. Whether he's a starter in MLS -- well i can't say that yet. He has good ball control and seems to have vision, but he's a bit skinny/slight in stature to be a physical force out there. Yet he has good tackling skills.

23 is definitely not a kid. It's not like he's gonna vastly improve at this age. If he was 18-19 he'd be a great prospect. I like him as a cheap alternative to an overpaid foreign bench player. But even Lombardo and Rosenlund are probably more "prospects" than him due to being younger and having higher level training and playing experiences as teens.
